The next day arrived, and we all headed straight out to Carthage, Missouri. Bobby stayed behind as he was no used to us in his wheelchair. I rode with the Winchesters. Ellen and Jo had Castiel with them, what fun that must have been. I changed outfits into something more comfortable.
The whole town was deserted, and null of life. It was a ghost town. Cars left at the side of the road, shops stocked, like everyone just abandoned their posts, and simply vanished. It's Roanoke all over again...
The Winchester's each had an arm out of the Impala, holding a cellphone each, hoping to get a reception. But they were coming up short.
"You getting a signal?" Sam questioned, his eyes casting over to his brother, who was staring at the phone.
"No, nothin'," he replied with a shake off his head. "Nice and spooky," they closed their phone, and Dean beckoned Ellen, and Jo to pull up at the side of us. Dean parked up against the pavement, as Ellen drove up to the side of the Impala, and locked eyes with Dean.
"Place seem a little empty to you?" Ellen questioned.
"We're gonna go check out the PD. You guys stay here – see if you can find anybody," Ellen agreed with Dean's comment, and we drove away. My eyes scanned the main road, seeing it empty like this made me feel weird, sent a tingle down my spine. Or was it because the Devil was lurking around in the town?
In no time, we reached the station, and the boys checked it out, hoping to find any sign of life. While I remained in the Impala. I leaned back in the black leather seats, feeling them squeak under me for a moment. I cocked my head to the right to look out of the window, and to my surprise, I could see a black coat standing by the window, but their body was twisted - as if they were looking at something. In a blink of an eye, I was transported out of the car and onto the sidewalk, and could see this man in full. His face was old, his hair white, and the aura around him was death, meaning he was a reaper. Then out of the corner of my eye, I spotted another, then another, and another. They were all around the town. They only gathered like this in times of great death. The reapers were not bothered about me, nor anyone else. They were waiting for someone.
I heard the footsteps of Dean and Sam, making me spin back around, to see them staring at me as they walked on over. But at the same time, we could hear a car revving in the distance, but some came into view as it was Ellen's car. The boys came around the car, and waited on the road. As Ellen drove up to them, but my eyes darted between all the reapers, trying to get a number.
"Station's empty," Dean's voice rang freely.
"So, is everything else," Jo's voice was added into the mix, making me turn my attention to them.
"Have you seen Cas?" Ellen asked, hoping we had seen the Angel.
"What? He was with you," Sam states, making me walk over to the conversation they were having.
