Chapter 43

James' POV

"Fuck dude! Really?! You just had to get drunk tonight surrounded by a lot of humans?!" I scolded my reckless brother.

"I see that you're getting an American accent mate. You're spending too much time with Sophie. I barely recognize you. You're losing your British accent." Mathew slurred and I rolled my eyes.

"Here. This will sober you up." I give him a little crystal bottle with blood that I brought with me in case of emergency. I had a feeling something like this would happen. He took the bottle and drank all its contents.

"Thanks mate." He handles the empty bottle back and I put it in my pocket.

"How are you feeling?"

"Back to my normal self. But I have to take a wee right now, so if you could give me some privacy it would be highly appreciated." He smirked and nodded towards the door and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't drink anymore tonight. That's the only bottle I brought with me and I don't want to have to babysit you. If you haven't noticed, I have a date." I stand up, step out of the bathroom and close the door behind me.

"Love ya too mum!" Mathew yelled and I grunted. He's so fucking immature. Who would've though that he's the oldest of us...

I make my way back to our table and sit next to Sofia. She's so caught up reading something on her phone that she doesn't even acknowledged my presence. I lean to towards her right hear and whisper.

"Hello beautiful."

"Oh my God! JAMES! Don't ever do that again. You just gave me a heart attack." Sofia clutches her chest and glares at me.

"Sorry love. I didn't mean to scare you." I chuckle a little. Her face is priceless. "What are you reading?" I ask her to try to change her mood.

"Uh...just a very cheesy book..."

"Oh. Send me the link. I want to read it."

"Okay....one second.......Done." She smiles at me and puts her phone away.

"Remember that day we first met?" She asked me.

"Yeah. It was through this app called Wattpad I think?" I reply pretending that I barely remember. I actually do remember that day very much.

"Yeah, that one. I remember that I posted on my profile that I was bored and I needed to talk with someone and you were the first to reply through private messages..."

"Yeah...I was watching porn when you posted that..." I mumbled thinking that she didn't hear it and thankfully she didn't because of the laud music blasting through the speakers and the chatter of the people here.

"I remember that I was doing this boring essay about Mark Twain and I told you about it." She said and started laughing.

"What's so funny?" I ask her somewhat confused and chuckle a little. Her laugh is contiguous.

"Its...its just that....hahahaha...its just that instead of the cliché 'hello' or 'hi', I replied to you that I wanted chocolate in capital letters with a winky face and a laughing face. I was so weird...." She continues laughing and I join her. Is true. She sent me that and I literally laughed and closed the porn site I was watching.

"Hahahaha...and when I asked you 'why?', you replied that you were high on M&Ms and you told me to wait a few seconds while you ate salty crackers to try and get rid of that 'M&Ms high'." I replied and now I'm a full mess of laughter, just like when we went to the mall for the first time and ate pizza.

"Oh God. I don't know why you kept talking to me after that..." Sofia covered her face in embarrassment.

"Because you made me laugh. You're the only person that makes me laugh and I can talk about everything with you." I reply and wink at her which makes her blush. Originally, Sofia and I met through this app called Wattpad were you can read books and create them. My username is jB1__2&u, don't ask why, and her username is sophie142. We would talk about different topics and she always managed to make me laugh. So imagine my surprise when two days after I started school with her both our identities were revealed. I thought that she was gonna freak out and run away from me, but she didn't. She actually laughed and said that she was already suspecting that it was me because of the way I talked with her and our conversations.

"How's Mathew by the way? Is he sick?" She asked with concern and I can't shake off the little pang of jealousy I'm feeling right now. Even though Mathew has found his mate and Sofia only sees him like a brother, I still get jealous when it comes to her and another guy.

"He's fine. I sobered him up." I mumbled.

"Really? How?"

"Uh...trust me...you don't want to know..." I tell her and she gives me a confused look.

"O-okay. If you say so..." She replies dropping the subject. See? This is one of the reasons why I love her. She doesn't push. Suddenly Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran is blasting through the speakers and everyone is sitting down now trying to catch their breaths from dancing so much.

"May I have this dance?" I ask her as I stand up offering her my right hand. She looks at me and blushes.

"Yes you may." She replies smiling and takes my hand. I lead her to the center of the dance floor.

"Uh...James? We're the only ones dancing and everybody is staring..." Sofia mumbles and I chuckle lightly.

"Yes, we are, but I don't care that we're the only ones dancing. I'm standing in the middle of the gym court with the most beautiful girl in the whole universe who is also my best friend, so I don't really care that we may look like fools. I want to share this moment with you." I tell her and put my left hand on her waist, her right hand on my shoulder and intertwine my right hand with her left. I know that you're supposed to only hold it lightly, but I don't give a bloody fuck. It feels good to be dancing with our fingers laced with each other.

"James?"

"Yeah?"

"I have something to tell you..."

"What is it love?" I ask her and by now we're surrounded by dancing couples.

"I...I finally remember everything..."

"What do you mean?"

"I remember everything. Our conversations, our kisses, my feelings....everything! I love you James." She whispered and I was so happy that I just grabbed her face and kissed her passionately.
