Nicholas' POV

Since that Saturday I followed her everywhere. We chatted a few times via Facebook and each time my infatuation for her grew. Somehow all of her conversations with anyone makes that person smile and laugh. She has a gift, but I'm not quite sure of what it is. Every time she was with him, I could feel my blood boiling from jealousy, but I know that if I kill him and she finds out that I did it, she would hate me for the rest of her life. She's special. I want her.
I got an invitation to the Bradford's Ball. My father is one of the most important investors on the Bradford College, but he was on a 'vacation' in Hawaii, so I had to go to represent him and I didn't wanted to, but when I found out that Sofia, my Sofia were going to attend to the ball, that's when I had a change of heart and chose to go; only to see her. I wore a black tux and the same perfume I wore since I met her. When I arrived at the ball, I immediately started to look around for her, bumping onto some people who stopped me to talk about busines and other stuff. As soon as I got the chance, I got away and resumed my search for Sofia. After walking for like twenty minutes through the maze of house I was in, I heard her contagious laugh through a door that led to the living room. I opened the door and there she was. Dancing and laughing with the Bradford brothers, which included James. Just the thought of him makes my blood boil with anger, but I concentrated my attention on her.

"Nick!" She came towards me and hugged me. I smirked when I saw the jealousy through James' eyes.

"What are you doing here?" She asked when she pulled away smiling at me.

"I was invited. My father is an investor, but he couldn't come because he had some business to take care of and sent me here to represent him. Not that I mind now that you're here." I flirted and she blushed. James cleared his troath loudly while my eyes were piercing into hers. He came closer pulling her behind him.

"Uh, Nick. We need to talk." He said and without letting me reply, he dragged me out of the house to the backyard that led to the woods.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing? Stay. Away. From her. You're not going to do the same thing you did with Evanna!" He shouted when he released me from his grip. Long story short, Evanna was Charlie's girlfriend. I thought that I fell in love with her, so I took her from Charlie and made her mine, but then I realised that I didn't loved her. So when she passed out, I left her in the motel room I took her to. After two days I got the news that she killed herself and because of that, Charlie killed himself too. Charlie was James' best friend at the time. So I got out of the country and traveled to Italy and lived there for the past hundred years hiding.

"That was a mistake. I was confused and she seduced me. But with Sofia is different, I can feel it and you will not keep is apart!" I shouted with a smirk and before he could reply, I ran away at vampire speed to my house, but he didn't followed. No one can, I'm too fast plus I turned myself invisible (that's my ability).

Sofia's POV

James left with Nick and even though he looked calm, I could see the anger on his eyes. I was about to follow them when a set of hands wrapped around me stopping me from doing so.

"Don't worry. They just need to talk." Michael said while turning me around to face him and closing the door.

"But James' pissed and I know that they don't get along. I've witnessed it." I replied very concerned. I don't want them to fight.

"James can control himself Soph. He'll just talk it off." George added. It felt like he read my thoughts. Anyway, I'm still worried, but they are his brothers and they know him better than I do, I have to trust them. So we decided to watch Bruce Almighty and just when the movie started, the door opened again.

James' POV

I made my way back to the house. I was fucking pissed off and scared that Nicholas would hurt Sofia the same way he did with Evana. My father was talking with some people while the guests started to leave. It was 11:13pm and I think that its time to take Sofia back to her house, so I went to the living room.

"James! Are you okay?" Sofia asked standing up from the couch and walking towards me while my brothers were still watching the movie.

"I'm fine. Hey, do you want me to take you home?"

"Um, not yet. How about we finish this movie and then you take me home?" She replied smiling and placing her right hand on my left shoulder.

"Ok" I sighed. Then I sat on the right end of the couch and Sofia sat next to me. We were a little tight so she cuddled closer to me and I wrapped my arms around her. I enjoyed the whole movie. We laughed at the movie itself, but mostly at the comments Sofia said about it and the faces she made. Slowly, I forgot about Nicholas and his intentions with Sofia. This moment with her was perfect.

Sofia's POV

The movie ended and James was a lot more relaxed than before, like if he forgot about it, so I decided to leave it there. I could ask him later when we're alone. I said my goodbyes to his brothers and father.

"So, I had a lot of fun tonight. Your brothers are really funny." I said trying to lighten up the mood as we headed to my house.

"Yeah. But I think that the funny one is you." He replied smiling.

"Really? And why's that?"

"Because most of the time when we laughed were because of something you said or did that we found really funny. Especially the faces you made and jokes." He chuckled

"Oh really?! Well thanks! I know I'm wonderful!!!" I said in a dramatic way flipping my hair and brushing the imaginary dust from my shoulders. After staring into each others eyes seriously we couldn't contain it anymore and bursted out laughing and a few tears escaped our eyes.

"Hahaha! Phew! Ok stop. Now a more serious cuestion." I said recovering my breath. "Why you don't like Nick?" His jaw tensed and his knuckles turned white from gripping the steering wheel too tight.

"Sofia. I don't really want to talk about it. Nicholas and I have a past and lets just say that its not a pretty one, okay? I know that you won't stay away from him, but please be careful. Don't let him lure you to his trap. He'll just use you, hurt you and.." He stopped mid sentence by crashing his lips into mine. I was taken of guard, but I recovered quickly and started kissing back. This is our first official kiss and its a thousand times better than what they say in books. There's this feeling that I can't find the words to describe. Its like a drug, James is my drug and I can't get enough of him. I needed to recover my breath so I pulled away and our foreheads were pressed together.

"Please Sofia. Be careful around him."

"I will. I promise."

He smiled. "I love you Sofia Jackson. I couldn't wait any longer to tell you this." He said out of nowhere taking me by surprise and my eyes widened in shock. Do I love him? I think I do. I know that we met a few weeks ago, but I have extremy strong feelings towards him.
Yes.

I love him.

After a few seconds of silence, his face turned sad and embarrassed. I quickly cupped his face with my hands and kissed him again.

"I love you too. Even tough we've only knew each other for a fee weeks, I can feel it. There's something about you that makes me feel safe and unique. I want you to know that no matter what, you can tell me anything and my feelings for you won't change, not even a bit and I'll always be there for you." A tear escaped his eyes and I wiped it away. Then we kissed for a few minutes. It was a soft and sweet kiss. We pulled away smiling. I got off the car waving goodbye.

"See you tomorrow!" I said.

"See ya!" He replied. And right after I took two steps walking towards the door of my house, something hard swooped me away and everything went blury. With the wind crashing against my face and ears, all I could hear was the wind crashing against me. Then I was knocked out.
