James POV

They won the game and everybody, literally everybody ran to them and embraced Sofia's team in a big giant group hug while I stood up from my seat searching for her face, but didn't succeed, let's just say that Sofia's not a tall girl. I walked towards my father and he was looking for someone just like me.

"James! There you're son. I was looking for you. What do you think? Any possible candidates for TBU?"

"Uh, I guess? There's this player whose performance was quite impressive." I answered still looking for her.

"And which player are you referring to? Is it player number 2?" He asked with a smirk on his face and raising a eyebrow.

"Yeah. Player number 2's performance caught my attention. She's definitely TBU material. We'll be very lucky if she applied for the university." I answered and finally spotted her walking to the girl's dressing room.

"Very well. I'll start planning my moves to get her to apply for TBU. If you'll excuse me, I have a meeting on campus. I'll see you home." He patted my back and turned around to walk away, but after two steps, he stopped.

"Oh! And James?"

"Yeah?"

"They're celebrating in Pizza Hut, maybe you should go there so you can talk with her again." He winked and left. I stood there, probably looking like a idiot and after I recovered, I went to my car. I placed my book in my backpack and waited for her team's bus to pull out of the parking lot.

Sofia's POV

I showered and washed my hair because it was greasy. When I play, I sweat a LOT! So my clothes were soaked in sweat and I felt too dirty. After I was done, I decided to let my hair loose because is very long and it looks good like that. I washed my uniform on one of the sinks from the bathroom with some body wash I had. I couldn't wait until I got home to wash it. It smelled bad from the sweat. I dried it with the hand blower and placed it in my bag. I go to my brother's car.

"Hey! Um, the coach is taking us to celebrate in Pizza Hut. I'll text you when I'm on my way home." I informed him while I dropped my bag on the passenger's seat and took out my purse.

"Can I come?" Dereck asked.

"I'm sorry. Only the team. Our coach is friends with the owner and they made some sort of a deal for us. He told us that the place is packed tonight, so he told us not to invite anyone. Sorry!" I apologized. I feel so bad for him.

"Its okay. I see you home." He replied and I noticed a sad frown on his face.

"I'm sure that it'll be extremely boring anyway. They'll probably talk about guys and I'm sure that it'll be awkward if you were the only guy there." I said and he gave me a small smile and nodded. I waved him goodbye and walked to our bus. I sat on the front seat from the left row and took out my phone to read. Yes, I read books online, most of them are fan fiction, but if you search carefully, you'll find very good books. The ride was long, loud and bumpy. Finally, those twenty minutes better be worth a night missing the episode of Supernatural. Every night I watch a episode on Netflix. I started since the beginning two months ago and I haven't missed an episode since then until tonight, so it better be worth it!

James POV

I parked right next to the bus on the left side. I waited until they all got in the restaurant. The place is packed! I got out of my car and I saw that the girls were taking their seats, but Sofia sat on a table alone. I managed to 'persuade' the waiter and she let me pass. I made her lead me to Sofia's table, then she left. Sofia was on her phone with earphones plugged to her ears and with my vampire hearing I could hear that she was listening Numb from Linkin Park. I'm starting to like her even more, that's one of my favorite songs.

"Hey!" I awkwardly said and she didn't replied. I think that she hasn't noticed me. So I poked her right shoulder and she jumped surprised and her eyes widened.

"Oh my God! You scared me. James...what are you doing here?" She asked curious while recovering from the little scare I gave her and putting away her phone. Somehow I found it funny the face she made when I scared her and I tried to hold my laughter, but a smile found its way to my lips instead. God! What this girl does to me.

"Sorry! I...uh...got...hungry and...I was driving around and saw this place and decided to came here." I lied looking away and shoving my hands in my pockets.

"Oh! Okay. Well, there's no more tables available, so, do you want to sit here?" She offered.

"Uh, sure." I accepted and sat across from her. I immediately took the menu to hide my smirk. So far, everything's good. What should I say? This silence between us is making me uncomfortable. What an irony! I usually enjoy silence when I'm around people, but sitting here in front of this girl, has awakened on me the need to make a conversation with her.

"So, which is your favorite song from Linkin Park?" Again, my stupid mouth blurted out before my brain could process an adecuate question.

"How did you knew I was listening to Linkin Park?" Shit! I fucked up! C'mon! Think of something to fix this!

"I uh...your music was loud and I heard what you were listening to."

"How come? I mean, there's a lot of noise in here."

"When I leaned to poke you, I heard the song. Was it Numb from Linkin Park?" I mentally patted my back. I fucked up and fixed it. This is why I don't socialize. Its too fucking hard and I say the wrong shit. I hope she doesn't think that I'm a creep or a psycho.

"Oh! Yeah. Numb is my favorite song from Linkin Park and yours?"

"The same." We talked about music the whole time, since the food came till we finished eating. She ordered the bacon large pizza ate the half.

"What? In my defense, I missed breakfast and lunch. You're lucky I left you the other half." She joked and I laughed. Its such a weird feeling. I never laugh genuinely. I always fake my laughs when I'm on meetings or around coworkers that my father makes me spend time with when he can assist. The coach played the bill and all of us stood up.

"Well, um, I'm leaving now. It was nice to meet you. I have a good time." She said smiling and kissed my left cheek without a warning or giving me time to reply. She waved me goodbye as she climbed into the bus. Do you remember when I told you about that pounding in my chest when we touched, well, it started again, only stronger and I felt a lot of heat on my cheeks again. I shook my head and went to my car and drove home.

Sofia's POV

Was it too much? It was okay that I kissed his cheek right? It was a friendly kiss. I like him. He's cute, a little closed off at the beginning, but after we found the right topic, I had him laughing nonstop and he's also funny. I sat on the same seat as before. I had to wait for the driver to drop every one of my teammates on their houses because the coach wouldn't let me take the bus to my house. I'm always the last one because my house is the furthest one. Its 10:57pm, there's no way that I can watch Supernatural. I always go to sleep at 11:00pm so I don't look like a zombie in the morning when I wake up to go to school. Mom and dad are watching TV in the living room and my bag is on the table. I greeted them with a quick 'I'm here' and told them goodnight. I pulled my clothes out from my bag and threw them inside my hamper. I changed into a pair of pink shorts and a Mickey Mouse black t-shirt. I tied my curly hair into a bun and went to sleep. Only one more day of school until weekend.
