Sofia's POV

I'm scared. Ever since I became the captain of the volleyball team, Mark has shown an interest in me. At first he was nice and sweet, but when he tried to get me to have sex with him while we were in the football field and I declined him, he turned into a comeplete different person. You could say that he went a little psycho. Everyday, and I mean everyday, he harrases me. Sometimes I manage to avoid him by hiding in the bathroom, library or the third floor. Other times, I'm not so lucky like a few moments ago. I pulled James into Mr. Smith's classroom with me because it was the closest I found. Hey! This is actually my first class. I swear that I didn't planned any of this, I just wanted to hide from Mark. I looked around and there were a few students talking like everything was okay. They're completely oblivious to the things I go through everyday. A few seconds later, the bell rang, making me jump a little.

"Are you okay?" James asked softly and I nodded.

"Do you study here?" I asked him trying to get my mind off Mark and the fact that I have a few classes with him.

"Yeah, actually...this is my first day."

"Oh!...So, which is your first class?"

"Um...English with...Mr. Smith?"

"Oh! Well,...its here. I have that class also, so, I guess that we can stay here." I said and he smiled.

"Ha! Its a litte funny." He chuckled.

"What's funny?" I asked tilting my head to the left in confusion.

"Its funny that the first class I have is with you and that you happened to pull me into that same classroom to hide without planning any of it."

"Oh!" After a few seconds we bursted out laughing gaining a few stares, but I don't care, I feel a lit better right now thanks to James. I sat on the front seat from the third row, as always, and James sat to my left. He looked completely different from the first time I saw him. Honestly, he's hot!

"So, why was he molesting you?" He suddenly asked and I stiffened. I shifted feeling uncomfortable, but I still answered him.

"Well...I don't exactly know, but I think that its because I'm the only girl that refuses to have sex with him, plus I'm the only....So I think that he's frustrated." I finished off, changing the end my explanation. It is very embarrassing to talk about that, especially with a guy.

"Oh" Was all he said.

"Good Morning!" Mr. Smith greeted us. I'm much calm now. Class began and we were assigned a project that required two, so James and I are working together. The bell rang again and we walked out together.

"So, which is your next class?" I asked him. I don't want him to get lost.

"Physics with Mr. Gosnell."

"No way! Me too!" He smiled at my reaction and we walked together to the classroom. Mark was there, in the back seat from the first row as usual. When he saw me, he smirked and winked at me and I looked away. I sat on my designated seat and James sat to my left again.

During lunchtime, I went outside to my secret spot. James made a few friends. You could say that he caught the attention of the 'popular' kids because he's new and good looking. I think that I'm classified as popular. Sometimes I eat at the cheerleader's table or any of those kinds of groups, but most of the time I rather be alone so I can read. There's this app were you can read thousands of books and I must say that I'm kind of addicted to it.

James POV

This. Is. Bullshit. Why am I listening to my brothers's advice?! 'Act cool. Don't be clingy. Bla bla bla.' Bullshit! I'm sitting with some random people I met in the hall when I was waiting for Sofia who went to the bathroom. I wonder where she is right now. I hope that Mark's not bothering her. When we went to Physics, the way he looked at her, I just wanted to grab him by his neck and throw him off the roof of a twenty stories building.

"So James, what do you think of this place so far?" The fake blonde with the annoying laugh from this morning asked.

"Its okay, I guess." I answered quickly and she laughed. Fucking hell! Someone PLEASE SHUT HER THE FUCK OFF!!! I think that I'm going deaf.

Suddenly I smelt Sofia's scent. I got up.

"Uh, I'll see you guys later." I said and walked away, more like ran away toward Sofia's scent. It led me to a green area outside of the cafeteria. There were a few wooden tables, trees and a lot of flowers around. Looking around, I spotted her sitting against a tree with her phone on her hands. She's so beautiful. Her knees are bent against her chest and part of her hair covers her face. I made my way towards her and cleared my throat to let her know that she's not alone. Her head snapped up to my direction with a scared look on her face, but her features softened when she realised that it was me.

"Hey." I softly said and sat next to her leaving little space between us.

"Hi." She replied shyly and putting her phone away.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?"

"Well, I always come here to read. Its kind of like my safe heaven here. Plus I want to stay away from Mark as much as I can."

"Oh. So, which book were you reading?" When I asked her that, her face lit up and she took out her phone again. She reads books online. We talked the rest of lunchtime and a few times in class about books. I even downloaded the same app. When she realised that we have every single class together, she pointed it out and I acted dumb, but I could see that she was happy that we have every class together because she couldn't stop smiling as we were talking about it. YES! I'm making progress.

School was over for today and then I remembered the assignment I have with Sofia. We were walking out of the building when I stopped her.

"What's up?" She asked as she turned a little to face me.

"Remember that English assignment? Well, I was wondering were would you like us to meet to do it."

"Oh! I forgot about that! Well, today's Monday, so I don't have practice.....I honestly don't have a clue where we can. My dad doesn't like guests in the house without a two day notice. So my house is a definite No."

"How about my place? We can do the assignment there, my parents don't mind." I suggested ignoring my brother's advices, that were all about to give her space and act cool. He can take his advices and shove them up his ass. I had a bad time keeping my distance from her and 'socializing' with the 'populars' from the school.

"Uh...sure. I just have to let my brother know......................... There! I texted him."

"Good. Now c'mon." I said and we walked to my black Range Rover. She was about to open the passenger's door, but I stopped her and opened it myself. She looked at me and laughed lightly.

"Thank You! You really are a true gentleman." She said smiling and sat on the seat. I smiled and nodded in response. This girl has me smiling the whole fucking time and I fucking love it! I closed her door and jogged to the driver's door. I looked around and saw that Mark guy staring at us. He's probably mad that she's with me, but I don't give a fuck. I want to beat the shit out of him so bad, but I can't do that in front of Sofia. I don't want her to think that I'm a monster and be scared of me, even though I am a monster.
