James' POV

I walked in the library and looked around for her. This place is a fucking maze! Enormous bookshelves, tables, chairs, dust; its everything a cliche library must have.

I snooped around some more until I spotted Sofia sleeping peacefully on a couch in the balcony. I walk over to her. She has a book on her lap, her head rested over one of the couch's cushions, her right hand was bent over her head and the other rested over the book in her lap. To say that she looked like an angel would be an understatement. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and stared at her taking in all of the details from her body. I took the book from her lap and placed it on the coffee table. I turn around to look at her and find her stretching and sitting up.

"Hey." I say softly and sit to her right.

"Hi." She replies still a little asleep.

"How are you feeling?"

"As good as I can be."

"How are you dealing with all this? Me being a vampire, you and Dereck, your father..."

"I don't know. I guess that I'm taking it all surprisingly too well given the fact that what I thought was my life, its actually a lie." She said and placed her head on my shoulder.

"I just talked with your father a few minutes ago. He knows that I'm a vampire." I informed her and she sat up quickly staring at me with wide eyes.

"WHAT?! How is it possible that you're still alive?!"

"Relax. He knows that me and my family are harmless. He agreed to not kill me as long as I protect you."

"Protect me? What the hell?! He-he's so... he's forcing you to something you don't want to do just so he can monitor my every move! He treats me like if I'm five!"

"Sofia, he's just wooried about you. He wants to keep you safe." I took her small soft hands in mine and stared deep into her eyes.
"To him, you and Dereck are the most precious things in his life.
Dereck has been trained, he can take care of himself, that's why your father is not that protective of him. You on the other hand are much more fragile than him. Don't take this offensively, but you don't even have the guts to step over an ant." I chuckled.

"How d-..." I cut her off.

"I'm a very observant person Sofia. I pay attention to everything, even if I don't look interested, I am. Plus I saw you evade stepping on a ant the other day." We both laughed and Sofia shook her head.

"I don't want to be a burden for you, for anyone. I think that is the best if you stay away from me. I'm a magnet for danger. You'll be safer as far away from me as possible." I grabbed her waist and pulled her onto my lap so she was straddling me. I placed my hands on both her cheeks and made her look at me straight in the eyes.

"Sofia Jackson! Don't. Ever. Say. Something like that. Ever. Again." I said between kisses.
"You are not a burden. I'm not doing this because you father 'forced me' and I definetly won't stay away from you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me in my three hundred years of existence and I don't plan on letting you go that easily." By now, a few tears escaped both our eyes and I wiped them from her face. Yes. I know that I'm crying in front of Sofia, but I don't bloody give a fuck.

Cmon James. Fucking tell her you love her!!!

"For a antisocial guy, you surely are deep." She said and we both laughed hard.
"Thank you. I don't know what my life would've been without you." She said and kissed me. We stayed like that for a while. Enjoying each other's presence and occasionally having a passionate kiss here and there. We told each other funny childhood memories and laughed.
I nearly forgot the recent events from this month. This is what she does to me. She makes me happy to a point were I forget all of my problem and how messed up this fucking wold is.

I'm snapped out of my thought when I feel movement to my left.

"Where are you going?" I ask Sofia who is standing up and stretching her back.

"I'm going to put this book back to where it belongs and I want to watch a movie. Do you want to come?" I stand up and take a step closer to her so I'm towering over her.

"Yeah. Sure. Which movie are we going to watch?" I ask her.

"I don't know yet. We'll decide when we get there. Unless you already know which movie you want to watch?"

"Yeah. Did you saw the trailer of Fifty Shades of Gray?"

"Uh, no. Amanda told me to read the book and all, but I haven't."

"Well, I was thinking that maybe we could watch that one. It looks interesting."

"Sure. Let me put this away and then I have to go home to pick up my purse. Dereck told me that when I was abducted, mom found it on the sidewalk and took it."

"Okay." I replied.

After she returned the book, I took her to her house and then we went to the mall. Somehow she managed to buy her ticket while I wasn't paying attention. If you haven't noticed yet, she doesn't like it when people buy stuff for her. But I want to pay for her stuff. I have too much money and I want to spend it on her.

Surprisingly, the theatre was empty. Only Sophie and I were in the room. I think that its because its 8:05pm. and there's a concert of a very famous band in town tonight. Anyway, after we watched the movie, which gave me a few boners imagining Sofia being Anastasia and I Mr. Gray, I took her back to her house.

"Um, do you want to come in? Nobody's home." Sofia asked and I nodded. We stepped out of the car and walked inside her house.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

"No, I'm fine." I smiled. Then she took me to her room.

"Wait here." She ordered me and I obliged. After two minutes, she returned with man's clothes in her hands.
"Here. This will fit you. The bathroom is the green door in the hallway." She gave me the clothes and pointed to were the bathroom was. I followed her instructions and changed into the clothe she gave me which are a pair of brown sweatpants and a green shirt. I washed my face and folded my clothes. When I returned to her room, she was in a pair of baby blue shorts and a black oversized shirt. I couldn't help, but stare at those mesmerizing tanned legs of hers and the way those shorts revealed every curve and bump of her waist down. She has an amazing ass.

"Do you want to watch Netflix?" Sofia's voice snapped me out of my dirty trance. I was afraid to speak, so I just nodded my head.

"Cool. There's this TV show Natalie told me about. Its called The Blacklist and she says that I should totally watch it. What do you think?"

"Sure." I replied and she nodded her head. Now she's bending to grab her laptop and I'm finding it extremely hard to control myself. I could easily grab her by her waist, throw her on the bed and-

"Done. Its loading. You can put your clothes on that chair over there." She pointed to a white and pink chair. I walked over to it and left my clothes there. Then I sat next to Sofia.
We watched the first two episodes and when the next one was about to start, Sofia had already fallen asleep. I turned off her laptop and placed it on her desk. I grabbed the covers and threw them over us. I rolled to my left and engulfed her in my arms and liked our legs. I gave her a kiss in her forehead and drifted off to sleep.
