we waited as she answered her phone

"Hello? Yes this is her"

she answered anxiously as London came and joined us in silence as we strained our ears to hear the phone call

"Tuesday the tenth?"

She asked as she put the phone on speaker so she could still hear the person whilst typing in her notes app and then calendar

"Yep, and if you could just bring the items I told you about, we'll see you then!"

A cheery lady smiled on the other end of the phone before they said their professional goodbyes and see you thens

"Who was that"

I asked as soon as she hung up and she beamed, rushing over to my lap and kissing me for the first time. it was only a peck but i felt her lips on my lips for a while after she had pulled away

i asked, confused but not complaining

"I got the job!"

She smiled to me and my smile grew
