A/N With all the adventures of Ellie and Eddie, ever wonder what Suzie and Dustin are up to??? Well never fear here some of those adventures from your other favorites.
Gareth drove Dusty-bun and I to school. It was my second day and I still had not made a single female friend. I was in the back acting like I didn't see Elenor with Eddie. I should be horrified, but it makes sense, the way Dustin and Gareth spoke about him. My poor cousin needed a boy or just a friend to break her out of her own head.
"Suzie, do you want to talk about this whole Eddie thing?" Dustin was nervous and you could tell he meant it sweetly. He treated me like I was going to break, I was an independent woman. I came here to be with Dustin, to help Ellie heal.
"Not yet. I think it's rather sweet that the two of them have found each other."I wanted to be clear, I didn't want Dustin to worry about me.
Everyone expects me to be boring; Suzie is so sweet and innocent. Well it's not a bad thing to value the pleasant things in life, to want to be a good girl, is it? I love Dustin, no boy has ever accepted me as a girl before. They all used to look at me like some science experiment. His eyes are always warm and when he holds my hand or kisses my cheek I get butterflies.
"You do?" Dustin smiles, "I'm glad." His face turns to that everyday relieved expression, you weren't sure if he wanted to make sure you were okay, or he was worried about the confrontation. You did regret that the two of you didn't have more passion, the fight when he needed your help across a radio channel, making him sing his heart out to you in front of his friends was the last real spark you had felt within your perfect relationship.
Dustin had wanted to impress his friends and they needed a famous number to win a trivia game. He called you, knowing you knew, but afterwards he just seemed so grateful. Also your feelings towards Eddie were more in the jealousy sphere when it came to Dustin's attention versus that of Ellie.
When you had met the "Dungeon Master" it was a lukewarm reception. He treated Dustin like he was a member of his flock. You didn't want anyone looking down on the love of your life, so you took it upon yourself to interject and irritate Eddie as much as possible. The boy didn't seem to mind, kept saying you had more fire than that of Dusty-bun.
Now, he was someone you felt like you could trust. Ellie was your hero, your world, you had so many siblings, but none really felt close to you. Ellie had always taken time to make you feel welcome, wanted and adored. She would bake you some of your favorite desserts and your father said she was the best girl to come from the Bishop side of the family since her grandmother. You knew your Aunt Rebecca had a reputation, she was rough around the edges, but loyal and till the day she left this world she loved Ellie. You didn't get a chance to meet her, but you had this vision in your mind, a vision of what the mother of your hero would be like.
"Suzie? Are you okay?" Dustin was walking alongside you. We had exited the car in time to see Gareth run off with Eddie fast on his heels. You didn't know Gareth's relationship with Ellie, but you did know the boy needed to sort out his head. You liked Gareth, the summer months he would come over you could tell he treasured Ellie.
