Ellie was outside, she was staring out into the snow, barely my flannel on her arms. She was so fucking stubborn, but she was all mine. Once she heard the news about her grandmother she curled up on the kitchen floor and shut down.

She was a very emotional and dare I say vengeful girl. I know she is trying to figure out how to hurt someone to get some peace to her mindset that she should have known.

"Ellie? Sweetheart.." I move slowly, she allows me to pull her back into my arms, I'm not unaware that I'm one of three people that can allow her some sort of peace.

Gareth. Billy. Being the other two. The latter on my list of people to punch for touching her when he thought her vulnerable. Even with Steve or Tiff I can see her face of older sibling or responsible being remain. She has to be the final hit, the final jab is always taken by her perfect frame.

Well now... well now she is my wife, she allowed me in and for that I will always be grateful. She belongs in my arms, I have never thought another person would feel so right.

"Eddie... I want someone to pay... but who? Meredith is already on trial... Rupert? He's going to lose her and his family, Jason is seeing to it that when he turns 18 that his mother will get the care she needs. I don't know what to do... and I'm so angry..." she turns so her face is against my chest, her nose gliding on my shirt. I could stand there for hours like this. But for the first time in my life I wanted us to really move forward, "we should at least gather the evidence, add it to the list of charges for both of them. Rupert doesn't deserve any peace. Meredith is crazy enough she will think she was in the right...." I paused and chuckled, "We Munsons love so deeply that we would do the unthinkable for each other and the people we love."

"She didn't. She chose Rupert over everyone." Ellie sighed, "Wayne, you and even poor Mattie... she didn't care at all..."

"Fuck! Mattie! It's Christmas...." I jumped back and Ellie met my eyes with a smile, "I got something from both of us, but I figured you may want to write something?"

Ellie did this thing with her lip when she was trying not to smile, it was so fucking cute, she was being serious, but I could tell how proud of herself she was. It was slowly overpowering the shock and hate. I slid my hand into her hair on the back of her neck, pulled her face to mine and kissed her lips. She smiled into the kiss and we stayed there for what felt like a hour, kissing and touching. My Ellie.

She pulled away and frowned, "let's go get this over with..."

"Then we are coming back here... you're mine." I growled a bit and she nodded, "I'm yours."

I threaded my fingers with hers and gave them a squeeze, I contemplated not saying anything, but that wasn't me, it wasn't us, "Ellie. If you want to do something... anything to ease that hate. Tell me. I'm here for you, I know I've been around a shorter time than the other two.."
