A Boy and a Zombie

The Game

(Just a heads up, things get a little spicy in the beginning of the chapter.)

Riley POV

Zed pulled away and we stared into each other's eyes for a moment, before continuing. Zed started to kiss my neck, leaving hickeys everywhere. "F-fuck, Zed." I moaned, as he kept going. 'Should we really be doing this?' I thought, 'O-oh, fuck yeah we should.' I changed my mind, quickly. I pushed Zed onto the floor with his back on the wall and sat on his lap, continuing to make out with him. He licked my lip and I opened my mouth to allow him access. As I felt both of our pants get tighter, the bell rang. "We'll, continue this someday." I said, giving him a peck on the cheek and as I was about to walk out Zed called me. "Hey Riley!", "Yeah?", "Be my secret boyfriend?", I thought about it for a moment. "Absolutely."

"Hey, mom, I'm gonna stick around until after school." I said, over the phone, "Okay, sure, yeah, yeah. Okay, Love you too, Mom. Bye.".

I walked up the bleachers and spotted Eliza and Bonzo, so I decided to sit with them. "Hey, guys.", "Oh, hi Riley." Eliza responded. Bonzo said something in Zombie which I'm assuming was a greeting. "Let's hope Zed wins this game, or else it's back to the basement with us." Eliza told me, "Don't think like that, I'm sure Zed will be exceptional." I assured her.

'Why do I keep jinxing everything?!', Zed wasn't doing as well as we all hoped. "Ugh, they are 100% targeting him!" I said, angrily. "Some people." Eliza responded.

I walked down the bleachers, towards Zed. "Are you okay?" I asked, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just a little pain, but it's all good." He responded. "Just, be careful." I said, looking into his eyes pleadingly, "Please."

Zed POV

'He's so fucking cute.'

"Of course." I responded. "Hey, you tell Eliza to come down here? I need to talk to her." I said, "Sure." He responded, and headed back up to tell Eliza.

"Yeah, no, I'm sorry I'm letting you talk me into doing this." Eliza said, after I told her what I needed. "I just need a little Zom-boost. Okay?" I responded, "Like what happened at the pep rally.". Eliza laughed, "Because that wasn't almost a total disaster. Yeah, no, I'm not doing it." She repeated. "Look, you...you already jailbroke your Z-Band to play video games." I said, trying to convince her, "This is different. Okay, this is ludicrously dangerous." She said. "If I win this game that's good for us and...and that's good for zombies and isn't that what we need?", Eliza opened her laptop and got to work. "Thank you, Liza." I said, giving her a hug.

'Okay Zed, always swipe left.' I told myself.

Riley POV

'DAMN, when did Zed get so good all of the sudden?', "Jeez, Zed's tearing them to shreds, now!" I said, "Y-yeah, he sure got good in the last 5 minutes." Eliza said, looking nervous. I paid no mind and kept watching my, secret, boyfriend kick ass.

"Another win for our football team, thanks to Zombie Zed. So be sure to show some zombie pride. Oh, and tickets are on sale for next week's Cheer Championship, so get yours today." Principal Lee, stated over the loudspeaker. Everyone in the cafeteria was going up to the zombies, not gonna lie I was getting a little jealous. "Bae-, uhh Riley!" Zed called, waving me over. This time Addison came with me as I told her that her crush's name was Eliza. Suddenly, Bucky came up from behind us and grabbed Addie.

"You're either pro-cheerleader or pro-zombie. Decide now." Bucky said to her. "Would you kindly, fuck off?" I said, grabbing Addie's hand to continue walking. Addie yanked her hand back, "I'm sorry Riley, I wanna be a cheerleader." She said, turning back to Bucky. I watched them walk away in disbelief, 'How could she do that?', I told myself I would talk to her later.

I walked back over to Zeds table and sat down. "Babe? Are you okay?" Zed whispered to me, "Huh, oh, uh, yeah I'm fine." I replied, faking a smile. As everyone talked I just kinda sat there bummed about what just happened.

"Riley, wanna finish what we started?" Zed whispered to me again.
