The next morning I woke up with my mom standing over me.

"What time did you get home? How was your date? What did you guys do?"

I was being assaulted with questions I wasn't prepared for. Help.

"Slow down, I will tell you but I just got up." I said, tired. I really didn't want to relive last night.

"So we got to the restaurant and they had the whole place rented out. After dinner we all went on a walk and then just hung out on the tour bus for a bit until their family came back. Then Ross's older brother Riker drove us home." I explained, leaving out every detail possible.

"I thought it would be more exciting." She pouted.

Just then the phone rang.

"I'll get it!" My mother jumped up.

She walked back in my room with the phone. "A Riker is calling on your phone, asking if he can talk to you."

"Sorry mom. I left my phone and bag on their tour bus when we left and he said he would get it to me. That's probably what it is." I lied.

She handed me the phone and left the room.

"Riker?"

"Hey, sorry to call you so early, but I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out today. And so I can return your stuff." He laughed.

"Um sure. Should I meet you somewhere?" I asked.

"Yeah. Meet me outside of your house. I'm waiting out front." He laughed.

I ran to the window and saw him sitting outside, waving at me.

I waved back and laughed into the phone.

"What would you have done if I would have said no, or I was busy." I said giggling.

"Then I would have found a way to see you. I will wait for you to get ready." He said hanging up.

"Hey mom!" I yelled.

She came back into my room. "Yeah?"

"Riker's outside waiting for me. Is it cool if I go with him?"

"I guess if he's already waiting for you. Why doesn't he come in and wait? He doesn't know how long it can really take you." She asked.

"You can go ask if he wants to come in. He just said he'd wait."

"Well he doesn't know how slow you are," she laughed, "I will go let him in."

I went to my window and watched her walk outside and him follow her in. I grabbed my skinny jeans and purple tank top and threw it on.

My mom was right, it took me 20 minutes just to do my makeup and another 10 just for my hair.

When I finally walked downstairs I was embarrassed. I took way longer than I should have. I heard my mom and Riker laughing in the kitchen. She had made cookies and Riker was sitting there eating them with a large glass of milk.

I went over and sat next to him and he looked at me and smiled.

"Well it took you long enough." He said winking.

"Sorry, I thought that same thing on my way down the stairs. So what are you two up to?"

"We were just talking about you!" My mother exclaimed.

"What about me?" I asked concerned.

"Nothing. Just talking about last night and he asked me what you were like." My mom explained.
