Chapter 8

I didn't know where I was going or how I was going to get home. I had to get out of here though.

I just kept walking. Blinded by my emotions.

Why was this happening? Why wouldn't Ross believe me? Why did Riker lie to me?

I kept asking myself all these questions and didn't even notice a car pull up beside me and someone get out.

"Hey Ashley. I saw you walking all alone. What's up?" It was Rydel.

"Rydel? What are you doing here. Where am I?" I asked confused.

"You're about a mile away from the tour bus. Why are you out here alone?" She questioned.

"Long story." I whispered.

"Well come on. We will go get some coffee and talk about it."

She led me to her car and we drove to star bucks. We got out and walked inside and she ordered us both caramel ice coffees.

"So what happened? Why don't you know where you are?"

"I was out all day with Riker. He said he just wanted to hang out. We did some stuff then we went back to the tour bus. We both fell asleep watching a movie and when we got up to leave, Ross walked in. He accused is of sleeping together, said he couldn't trust dating a fan, and doesn't want to see me anymore. During that argument, Riker said that he liked me too and Ross just got pissed and left. So I left the bus and just kept walking until you found me." I admitted.

She sat there quiet for a minute then nodded.

"Well, I can see you're in a predicament. How bout I take you home and we can talk more tomorrow? It's almost midnight."

I nodded and we went back to the car.

She drove me home and I walked inside. My mom was already asleep so I went and took a hot shower and went to bed.

The next morning I woke up and it was about 9:30. I had two texts from Riker, one from Brittany, and one from Rydel.

'Hey, call me when you can. Maybe we can talk for a bit.' That one was from Brittany.

Rydel: 'I just got up and am getting ready now. I will be at your house shortly and we can do something today.'

Riker: 'hey look, I'm sorry about everything and want to talk to you'
'Can we maybe do something today?'

I ignored Riker and texted back Brittany. 'It's been a rough couple of days. We will get together this weekend and I will tell you everything.'

Next I texted Rydel. 'I just got up too. I will get ready and be waiting for you. See you soon.'

I sat in bed, thinking about the last couple of days since the concert.

What a mess.

My life seemed to be falling apart.

I got up and got dressed in shorts and a yellow tank top then threw my hair up and put on some cover up.

Walking downstairs to the kitchen, I heard my mom on the phone.

"Alright, I'll tell her. Bye." She said.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"That was Riker. He said you aren't returning his texts and he wanted me to ask you to text him."

I rolled my eyes. "Rydel's coming over soon. We are gonna do something today. Just to get our minds off of everything."

"Whose Rydel?" My mom asked.
