I woke up at 5am.
My mother was already up, scurrying around, quickly getting ready for the day. She still had work to go to.
I got out of bed and opened my door to see her walking between her room and the hall cupboard.
"What are you looking for?" I questioned.
"I don't really know. I guess I'm just trying to stall myself to leave for work. You leave today and I just don't wanna see you go." She just watched me, she was fighting back tears.
"Mom. We've been over this." I walked over and hugged her. "I will call you all the time and we can text and video chat and it will be like I never left."
"I know. It's just so hard."
She stood upright and wiped her eyes.
"I'm gonna miss you. I love you." She kissed me on the head. "I have to leave for work now. Be safe." She grabbed her bag and walked out the door.
I walked back into my room and started getting ready.
I pulled my hair up and did my makeup. Then I let my hair down and brushed it, putting it in my part. I turned around and grabbed the jeans and sweater I laid out for today and slipped into them.
It was now 5:30.
I heard a knock at the front door.
I walked down the stairs and to the door while the knocking continued. I pulled it open to see Ross standing there, just smiling.
"What?" I asked, after he just kept starring at me.
"You're just so beautiful." He blushed.
I took his hand and pulled him through the door.
"Is your mom gone?" He chuckled nervously.
"Yeah, why? You have some dirty little plan." I winked.
"Only if you're up to it." He let a slow smile creep across his face.
"Ha-ha. Very funny."
"What? This might be the only free time we have for quite a while."
"I know you have a bunch of boy hormones, but I am already ready to leave, I don't feel like having to get ready again." I laughed.
"Well then we'll go quick. A quicky. What about that idea?" He kept pushing.
"Or, you can go get my bags from my room and put them in the car." I was playing with him.
"Whatever." He laughed, walking upstairs.
He came down with three bags at first, there should still be two more and my purse.
"I'll grab my purse." I said on his way out the door.
I walked into the kitchen and sat on the counter. I heard Ross come back in and go upstairs for the last two bags.
"Ashley! Where did you go?" He couldn't find me.
He walked down the hall to the kitchen where I was sitting on the counter.
"What are you doing up there?" He asked seductively.
"Just sittin around." I smiled.
He walked in front of me and put his hands on either sides of the outsides of my thighs and he stood between my legs. Our noses were touching.
"Is this too close?" He whispered.
"I like how close you are to me."
He leaned in and kissed my shoulder.
