everyone saw the love between them,
the strong chemistry that kept growing,
the shift in the choice of body language,
everyone saw it,
except the two,
thinking that the other didn't like them.

He wrapped his arms around her waist as she slumped her body against his. She rested her head against his waist and started to fall soundly asleep.

He stared at her lips and smiled, still reminiscing about that time they kissed. They still haven't gathered the courage to own up to it, but the memory remained warm in his heart.

Sean gently pulled her body into a slightly better sleeping posture against him and he leaned his head on top of hers, doing all of this while trying not to wake her up.

"Hey honey, I'm hom- oh." Sean's mom came back from work and was about to greet Sean at her usual loudness, until she noticed the two sleeping on the couch. Despite the couch being almost rock solid as compared to a bed, both of them were cuddling and fell into a deep slumber. Soft snores could be heard from Sean, but it wasn't loud enough to wake up Kaycee. Or perhaps Kaycee got used to them.

"My two little darlings, goodness me." Sean's mom giggled and took a picture of the duo, which she found extremely cute. She planned to show them the next morning and of course, being a mom, embarrass them.

But it's nice to tease your son with someone once in a while. Besides, she hasn't seen Sean date anyone before and he is already almost 20. A relationship would be nice to have and experience at such a prime age.

After an hour, realising that the two would not wake up and it's already 1am, she gently nudged Sean awake and he lethargically opened his eyes. He rubbed them before looking at his mom, when she mouthed to him, "Ask Kaycee to sleep in the guest bedroom, the couch is way too uncomfortable."

Sean mouthed a reply of an "okay", before trying to wake her up subtly. He nudged her and she didn't wake up. She was such a deep sleeper. He tried once more, this time a little harder, but no response.

Internally praying he was strong enough or that he had hulk powers if he wasn't, he gently lifted her up in his arms and princess-carried her to the guest bedroom. He wobbled and tried to make sure he kept his balance well the whole time so that he doesn't drop her.

He rested her head against the soft cloud pillows and tucked her into bed. Since the blanket for the guest bed had been sent for washing and has not dried yet, he decided to sacrifice his and brought it down to keep her warm.

It was a cold night, the temperature dropping uncontrollably due to the rain that had just started. He noticed Kaycee snuggling with his blanket, smiling unconsciously in her sleep, which of course made him smile too, if not wider.

It didn't matter that he was shivering to the core without his blanket over him. Knowing that she was feeling cosy beneath his blanket made his heart warm up. He would do anything just for her.

When Kaycee woke up the next morning, the smell of lavender overwhelmed her senses. She felt like she was in a field of flowers and smiled. It smelt just like Sean's clothes. She rubbed her eyes to wake herself up, only to notice the design on the blanket she had been tugging on.

Oh my god. Kaycee could not help but burst out in laughter.

Taylor Swift's faces were printed all over the blanket, with the words 'Taylor Swift' in the middle of the blanket, probably in font size 35 or something. Being a stan as well, she cuddled the blanket for another good minute before walking up the stairs to return the blanket back to its rightful owner.

She was looking for his room with all the doors closed, until she noticed one had a medal of some sort hung onto it with a plastic hook. She instantly recognised it and knocked on the door. It was a medal from when they first danced as a duo in a competition they partook. It was surprising they could even walked out of the venue holding a bronze medal in their hand.

11 knocks like they always did on each other's doors since they were young. Sean knew it was her the moment he heard the first 3 knocks and opened the door right as she finished knocking.

"Is this your blanket by any chance? Because I definitely know someone is a madly obsessed Swiftie." Kaycee chuckled as she held out the nicely folded blanket to him.

Sean took it back, slightly embarrassed but he was glad she was able to get a good nights rest through the thunderstorm. Sean tried to hide his eye bags away by avoiding as much eye contact as he could. The storm woke him up, as well as the dropping temperatures. The thunder did not help at all.

"Shut up. Aren't you one too?" Sean teased back and he giggled.

Sean invited her in to take a look around his room and Kaycee rolled her eyes in dismay the moment she looked down at the floor.

"Oh Sean...time to fold your laundry. How long has it even been sitting there for? 1 week? I know they are probably meant to smell good but now they are kind of growing a foul scent." Kaycee scrunched her nose at the slightly awful smell of the room.

"Fineeee." Sean sat down on the floor and pulled the mountains of clothes closer to him. Kaycee decided to help him out as well, with the folding of all his hoodies, while he did his shirts and pants.

"Look at much space we already freed up just by folding half of the laundry. Now you can workshop in your bedroom too, in case the ideas escape before you reach the garage." Kaycee smiled, feeling proud of themselves.

"Maybe cleaning up isn't so bad after all." Sean replied, feeling a sense of satisfaction. Cleaning up is definitely not fun, but it was fun doing it with her. She made it into a fun competition, seeing who could fold more clothes in 20 seconds. We ended up finishing the task faster than anticipated, thanks to those little minigames.

He watched silently when she was folding the last few hoodies. The sunlight that beamed through his small window next to his bed gently hit against the frame of the body. She glowed brightly like an angel. Angel, just like who she was to him. Her dark chocolate-like hair fell onto her shoulders with way more grace than his dancing.

"What's with the staring Sean? It's definitely intimidating if that was what you were trying to do." Kaycee noticed and questioned.

Sean immediately moved himself to a position that didn't seem so obvious and smiled at her.

"Nothing."

What a lie.

"Are you sure? Is there something on my face?"

Sean shook his head and gave her an awkward thumbs up.

"Nothing on your face Kaycee."

Another lie, Sean.

Oh and there was definitely something on her face. And that was the one thing she had that no one else would have or could compare to. It gave her the natural glow on her face too.

Beauty.

She had beauty on her face.

She was like a whole artwork.

If she were to be a piece of art in a museum, he would stare at it for as long as the museum would accommodate to him. He wouldn't shift his eyes away, not that there were any other better pieces.

If only she knew.

But it would risky to let her know.
