"We didn't realise we were making memories. We were just having fun." -Winnie the Pooh

After cleaning up his messy bedroom, his floor had definitely enough space now to fit the two if they laid down on the floor. They stared at the popcorn ceiling, enjoying the comfortable silence between them.

Kaycee rolled over, closing the gap between them and laid her head on Sean's arm. Sean wrapped his arm tightly around her shoulder and smiled.

"Oh yeah! I found this box when I was cleaning around. I don't know if you remember when these were from." Sean opened up a box and revealed small little folded up notes.

"You still kept them Sean? Wow." Kaycee beamed as she scavenged through the pile of letters inside.

There were all notes Kaycee and Sean wrote to each other and passed during class time back then. The edges were already starting to turn yellow, implying how old there were. She didn't expect Sean to keep every single one of them.

"Remember this one?" Sean picked out one of them and opened it up to show Kaycee.

It was the letter that started off their friendship officially.

"Hi Sean! (hope I didn't spell your name wrong) Uhm I don't want to offend you or anything so I thought writing you this note would be the best way. Just wanted to let you know that your feet kept hitting mine under my chair and it's getting a little annoying. Would you mind if you, perhaps, try not to stretch your legs out too much? Thank you! :)

-Kaycee (the girl who sits in front of you)"

"Oh god, I'm cringing on the inside. I was so awkward back then, I even had to write you a note to tell you something so simple as this." Kaycee face-palmed herself, Sean laughing at her younger self.

"Now you know what I had to deal with back then. Anyways, there is one more, this one." Sean fished another one out of the box, the front of the folded letter said 'pass it to kaycee.' During spanish lessons, they were not seated together and so it was a little harder to pass notes to each other. Just in case the people didn't get the memo, they could always refer to the front of the note.

"Oh this one is really sweet." Kaycee said as she analysed the whole contents of the note from head to toe.

"dear ricebowl,
hope this made it to you...if not...well i'll just tell you everything in person later after school.

my mom planned an outing for me, but i was wondering if you wanna come along as well? you know i can't go anywhere without you and it's no fun knowing you aren't going to be there. we are going to disney world tomorrow, but we will start heading off today (it was a friday then) to the hotel nearby. it's gonna be a whole weekend filled with joy and i don't want you missing out. besides, my mom told me she had already let your mom know and your mom said it's up to you to decide. so, wanna pack your bags and come with us?

-shampoo (since that's what you keep calling me nowadays and i don't even know why)"

"Our first outing. I asked you through a note, which was weird but I'm glad I could keep it as a memory." Sean chuckled.
