all it took was for her to be there,
to take all of his troubles away,
and spread sunshine all over his world,
which was overwhelmed with darkness.

"Oh Kaycee, I thought I would never see you again, after you left the country when you were 12. Look at how much you've grown!" Sean exclaimed, still not willing to let go of the girl stuck in his arms.

"Glad we are able to see each other again. We didn't have phones or anything, or else this whole long distance thing would have been way easier." Kaycee smiled and looked up at his face, which had really changed and matured a lot into the fine gentleman he was.

"Also, what happened to the letters? I wrote many to you, at first you replied during your first few months of being there. But the letters soon stopped after and I tried to write more, but none came back. Did you receive them in the end?" Sean asked, slowly letting go of her out of his embrace.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you I moved apartments. The one you were sending letters to, the rent was way too expensive for me. So I had to move, or else I would have gone bankrupt. Seemed like I forgot to let you know the change in address as well, crap. I'm so sorry. I must have been busy packing and moving and forgotten about it." Kaycee exasperated, but Sean gave her a comforting smile, which she knew meant that he understood.

"I knew you guys knew each other, or at least had some sort of connection one way or another." Bailey smiled at the two as they were busy reconnecting.

"When you asked me if I knew a Sean, did you mean him? You sneaky sneaky snake." Kaycee replied to Bailey, pretending to be annoyed at her.

"And when you asked me to come along, you were actually trying to ask me to come meet Kaycee? Honestly, you did a great job disguising it." Sean laughed at himself, realising that he took a long time to catch on.

"Guess you guys figured it out. Now thank me for reuniting you two. Where are my 'thank you's?" Bailey held out her two hands, one facing one of them, before gesturing to ask them to thank her.

"Oh Bails. I'm soooo thankful that you brought us together. Like thank goodness I accepted your offer to come along." Sean sarcastically thanked her, but of course, he was actually sincerely thankful for Bailey convincing him to go to the airport with her.

"Same here. Thank youuuu Bailey. You're such a great bestie. Like seriously, damn. No bestie is like you. Who helps to reunite two long lost besties willingly? But for real though, thank you." Kaycee decided for a hug to complement her 'thank you', before doing the handshake they made up right before she left for Toronto, Canada.

"Welcome, you guys. Perhaps this will be the starting mark of a brand new chapter between you guys? Chapter 1, Part 2, new beginnings." Bailey smiled, before giving them a group hug.

"Alright, shall we head home?" Kaycee suggested, and everyone agreed in synchrony with a head nod.

"Welcome home, neighbour." Sean greeted her with the sight of her home as he pulled up his car near it.

"Glad to be back, neighbour." Kaycee giggled, before heading out of the car. Sean decided to walk her to the doorway, just like every other time he did when she is heading back inside.
