somehow the flowers seem to bloom,
only when i'm with you.
maybe it's the way you make me feel,
or perhaps it is just,
you.

When she pulled away, her heart went into a panic, worrying that Sean may not have wanted it to happen that way.

But he wrapped his hands around her face and pulled her lips to his. Kaycee gently held his waist as her knees were turning jelly.

Their faces turned into a beautiful shade of red under the dazzling soft golden spotlight. Little cheers were heard from those who witnessed the moment, as everyone continued to drown themselves into the soft romantic music.

"You made this happen so you could steal a kiss from me huh?" Kaycee teased him and Sean rolled his eyes and laughed.

"Maybe I planned for it to happen." Sean admitted, shying away a little like a little kid.

"Aww Seanie Poo's getting all shy up in here now. Adorable." Kaycee giggled before squeezing herself into his embrace.

She could sniff the mixture of her cedarwood scented perfume against his white musk cologne, which blended with each other perfectly. It complemented one another, just like how Sean was to her.

Realising that Kaycee was hiding deep within his embrace, he covered her head with his suit and bent his head in the nook to join her. They did more than just that, possibly a small make out session.

"I had one kiss and I'm already addicted." Sean licked his lips and bit gently on his bottom lip, smiling at her.

His dimples started showing and of course, Kaycee could not resist the urge to poke them further with her index fingers.

"I'm sure we will have many more." Kaycee giggled and gave him one last peck before heading off to the where the drinks were.

Good thing she was in a white sparkling dress, because in the midst of the darkest, she stood out like light at the end of a dark tunnel. Gorgeous and magnificent. He never kept his eyes off of her the entire time.

The way her braids swirled through the air as he turned her on her heels, before playing tonsil hockey. The way her dress loosened out into a perfect circle as she twirled around the dance floor like no one was watching. The way she smiled at him like they were the only ones on the dance floor.

That was the moment he knew, he had fallen for her more than he thought. And he wouldn't need to hold back this time.

Because he could follow her and hold her in his arms, plant as many kisses as he wants anywhere and he wouldn't need to pretend that he wasn't in love with her.

It was all real.

Just like how he dreamt of it.

Real.

Real.

Real.

Carrying her heels in his left hand by the straps, he opened his arms and she leaped into them, not realising what he was going to do next.

He gently rested her on his two arms, carrying her just like a princess. She hid her face with one hand, the other around his neck.

"SEAN LEW! I'm not a baby. I'm fully capable of walking on two feet by myself without any adult supervision." Kaycee sighed sarcastically.

"But I want to treat you like a princess."

"My name is not Princess Kaycee like Princess Peach, I'm just Kaycee Catlin Rice. Not part of royalty."

"You are royalty to me, my love." Sean teased and her face was so red, people might mistaken it for her being drunk. She was drunk, if being drunk on love counts. Because she would want to be drunk in love every day, 24/7.

10pm. The time where the sun don't shine and the moon gets to shine brightly as ever, they sit in the front seats of their car, the moonlight shining through the clear windshield and casting itself gently on the dash. They sit beside each other, the radio on the lowest possible volume, and enjoying the peacefulness in the middle of the night.

No words were exchanged, allowing a comfortable and soothing silence to quietly settle between them. They each had their solitude, enjoying the quiet view of the scenery from the carpark.

"Shall we head home now?" Sean broke the silence after some time and Kaycee nodded her head, before dozing off as Sean hit the highway.

"My love, I would always do anything just to make you feel loved by me every day. The things I would do, just for you." Sean smiled as he peeked over his shoulder to check up on the sleepy princess.

And he never stopped smiling all the way home.

"Hey, Kaycee?" Sean gently nudged her to try and wake her up. But to no avail, she didn't open her eyes.

While Sean was trying to wake her up, Kaycee had already been awake ever since he made that turn and drove down their street. But being the inner child she is, she decided to wait in the car seat and pretend to be asleep.

Sean got out of his seat, headed over to her side and unbuckled her seat belt. Without any struggle, he picks her up, just like how he did before, and carries her slowly through the slightly narrow door and into her bedroom. He let her head slowly rest on the pillow, before tucking her in with one of her soft blankets.

As he was about to leave, Kaycee pulled him the arm and caused him to stumble backwards. He walked back to her bedside, plants a kiss on her forehead and asked what was wrong.

He panicked a little, wondering if he did something wrong or left something of hers in his car that he forgot to bring up. But no, Kaycee didn't want any of that.

"Here."

She pointed at her lips, struggling to do so as her hand felt overly heavy all of a sudden from the sinking tiredness.

Sean leaned his head down towards her and kissed them, before patting her head and finally heading out the door.

"Thank you for always taking care of our daughter, son." Kaycee's dad smiled as he noticed him heading for the door.

Son.

The title he had always given him ever since he showed him how well he could take care of Kaycee when they were 12.

"Always a pleasure." Sean smiled before heading back to his place.

He would do anything to protect that gentle soul of Kaycee's. His Kaycee.

After taking a good shower, he fluffed up his pillows before letting his head sink into them once more. The mattress welcomed him with open arms and he laid on them, feeling like he was on cloud 9.

He could not wipe that smile off his face, neither could he stop that beating heart of his. The adrenaline still rushed through his blood vessels, showing no signs of slowing down for the peaceful night.

He tossed and turned in bed, happy about the kiss and finally making it official. He wouldn't want to love anyone else but her. She was the one for him, and will always be.

His mind did not let him have his good night's sleep. Instead, it acted like he had just taken 5 cans of Red Bull and kept him awake for the rest of the night.

"Be my forever always, Kaycee." He said before finally managing to drift off to sleep at 6am.
