baby would you walk to me,
in the pouring rain?
and drive to me,
when i'm miles away?
and fly to me,
just to feel okay?-Together by Joseph Tilley

Kaycee went to get herself ready for the day, leaving Sean alone to do whatever he wanted around her house.
He walked around until he stumbled upon her room, which was very much impossible to miss, since it had a large A4 paper stuck on the door, with her name written on it.
Sean slowly made her way into her room, looking around with caution, in case he stepped on something on accident or break something in here. He tiptoed around her room as he explored the place, her sanctuary.
Taking in a deep breath, he could smell the perfume she loves to use. That sweet scent that was subtle and soothing. He picked up the bottle and took a closer look at the label, just to see what the scent was and where it was from.
While his eyes wandered around her room, he noticed a bunch of purple sticky notes stuck clumsily to the surface of her desk. The ink seemed fresh on the paper and the paper hardly had any visible crumples on it.
He read every single note she wrote down, which all seemed to be her jumbled up thoughts from yesterday. He could infer it was about the call she received from the dance company in Canada, since she had doodled figures of people dancing all over the edges of each sticky note.
Names of famous people that attended the classes there were written down on another sticky note. But next to that one lies one note that he had to reread again.
An opportunity to go join them.
And under that, she wrote his name over and over again, making sure there was a heart next to his name always. She cancelled the word "Canada" every time she wrote it down. When his eyes finally made it to the bottom of the note, he saw words he did not expect to read.
"Sean...where are you?" Kaycee called out for him from the living room.
Sean dashed out of her room as quietly as possible, snuck into another room next to hers and replied to her.
"I'm over here in the computer room! I'll be out now."
"Sean Lew! Are you hacking our computers?" Kaycee joked.
"As if I am talented enough to do that."
"Do I have to remind you you are a multi-talent? You can cook, dance, sing, act-"
"Well programming doesn't fall in that. So you're going to be fine Kayc." Sean rolled her eyes sarcastically and laughed.
"Keep it that way. Also, don't you need to get changed? I'll wait for you outside your house later." Kaycee asked.
Sean sniffed his shirt and caught a waft of the worst stench he has ever smelled on himself.
"Yeah, I definitely need to get myself freshened up. How about you wait for me in my living room. I should be done in five minutes." Sean smiled as he led both of them out of her house and towards his.
"I forgot how fast guys are when it comes to getting changed." Kaycee said.
And Sean ran up the stairs and towards his bathroom as fast as he could the moment he busted through the door of his house.

Sean collapsed onto the couch next to Kaycee after he finished changing. He laid his head on her shoulder, while his hand slowly reached for hers to hold.
"I can't believe you fell for me." Sean said.
"Hmm?"
"How did you manage to fall for someone so ordinary like me?"
"Sean, we've gone over this. You aren't ordinary, you're extraordinary."
Sean turned his body to face hers. His eyes met hers, before breaking out into a wide smile that he knew would not be wiped off his face for the next half an hour.
"Okay, I believe whatever my girlfriend says."
Kaycee immediately blushed. Her heart felt so swollen with love for him and he makes her feel all jittery inside. The fact that they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend now made her extremely happy and hearing those words made her crumble to the floor in an instant.
"My munchkin." Kaycee replied.
"Where do you feel like going today, princess?"
"What's with all these nicknames all of a sudden?"
"I just want to test to see which one would fit you best. And then I'll use it for the rest of my life." Sean teased.
"Alright, bubs."
"I don't like that one."
"Me neither." Kaycee giggled.

While they were in McDonalds grabbing lunch, Sean noticed Kaycee getting a little anxious about something. And he knew that whatever crossed her mind was not something pleasant at all. He looked at her, wondering if she would speak her mind without having him to ask. But she stay silent for a long time, until he decided that he couldn't bear the fact that the love of his life was extremely upset about something.
"Sunshine, a penny for your thoughts?" Sean spoke up.
"Oh, it's just that I was thinking about the call I got."
Sean looked at her, her face looking way gloomier than it should be.
"And what about the call is making my sunshine all sad about?" Sean poked at her thought bubble.
"They-they asked m-me if I wanted to go back to Canada to continue my dance career there. Which seemed like a good idea at first, but after what happened the last time I went, I don't know if I am ready for us to be separated like that again. All I know is that I can't lose you like that once more. We could long distance, but would we last through that? This whole relationship we have now just started and I'm worried we might not come out of this victorious. I'm scared Sean, I'm scared to lose you again."
Sean paused. He knew about some of her thoughts, but he never knew she was extremely afraid of losing him. He was confident that it was all going to work out even if she does go, but he didn't know how scared she was to do it.
"Kaycee, no matter what, remember it is me and you at the end, okay? I promise to be here for you, during the rain and the sunshine, the good and the bad days, and everything in between. Trust me, we will figure out a way through this. I want you to go for what is best for you. If this is going to help you career-wise, go for it. I will be here to support you when you do well, and to break your fall when you come crumbling down. I will bring you up again when you think things aren't going well. But I will be here for you, so don't you ever fear."
Kaycee let her tears fall, the ones that she had tried to hold in every since she got the call. She let herself be vulnerable in front of him, letting him comfort and reassure her in ways only he knew. She let herself soften in his warm embrace, and curl up in the safe space he made for her with his arms.
"Thank you." Kaycee whispered through her sobs.
"Always." Sean whispered back.
