You have arrived at your destination, Google Maps called out. Sean quickly pulled into the parking lot and managed to find one last space for their car. It was super crowded surprisingly, since today didn't seem like it should be.

Besides, what was everyone doing at an ice cream shop at 11am? That's pretty early for dessert when it isn't even lunch time yet.

After what seemed like an eternity under the blazing hot sun, they finally entered the store, the necklines of their shirts completely soaked in their sweat.

They rushed in the moment they could and the feeling of the gust of cold air blowing against them felt amazing. They shivered initially, but soon their bodies adjusted and they enjoyed every second of it.

"Hi what may I get you today?"

Sean looked around, but before Kaycee could even say what she wanted, he had already answered it for her.

"I would like a scoop of mint chocolate chip for my girlfriend, as well as a scoop of strawberry cheesecake for myself." Sean said, his hand reaching for hers and interlocking their fingers together.

"Of course! That would be 15 dollars please."

When they sat down at a table together, Sean placed one hand on her thigh and rubbed small circles on it with his thumb, noticing she was feeling a little anxious.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sean whispered, trying not to scare her too much.

Kaycee fumbled with her fingers and her leg was shaking furiously under the table. Her eyes land on a jacket she recognised and she instantly told herself not to check the person's face, in case it was him.

"That jacket. It might be him." Kaycee cautiously pointed at that man's direction, without getting that person's attention.

Khaki, like how she remembered it to be. The jacket he hid her under when she told him she was freezing. The texture was exactly the way she knew it by, smooth yet perfectly curved around the edges of the jacket.

"Him?"

That was all it took for the guy to turn his attention to them, which he then noticed the familiar curls on the girl he once laid his eyes upon.

"Hey Kaycee, what an odd coincidence seeing you here."

Every step made Kaycee's heart beat faster. Her fingers started turning cold and her toes were becoming icicles.

"Sean, can we get out of here? Please." Kaycee whispered, desperate to get out and as far away as possible from him.

"How did you two know each other?" Sean asked, while standing in front of Kaycee, guarding her from him.

"On her Canada trip. Nothing happened though, don't worry. We were both good friends during the course of her whole trip and she did tell me that she had found a boyfriend recently. I am assuming she is referring to you, fine sir?"

Sean smiled, before allowing Kaycee to step out from behind him finally.

"Yes, and please, don't be overly formal. But we will be heading out, since we do have some errands to run." Sean made an excuse for them to leave and he gently pulled her to follow him out.
