The front door creaked open, and then shut. Assuming you were in front of a window, your skin warmed slightly. Your head turned towards the sounds general direction, a small smile tugging at your lips.
Your wife—who stayed with you through thick and thin, giggled as she saw your happy face. She found you stupidly adorable. After a hard day out she could always come home to you, cuddle, or listen to some podcasts.
She never really watches shows or movies, considering you couldnt enjoy it with her at times, you were blind. An accident happened when you were in the military, leaving you blind. The news devastated Kate when she discovered it.
Kate led you to a chair, sitting you down slowly. She pulled up a chair next to you, sitting at your quiet kitchen table. "So, how lonely were you when i was gone?"
"Too lonely, and quiet. I dont like quiet, especially since you arent here with me." You smiled sheepishly, scratching the back of your head lightly.
"You! Youre so smitten still! Its like when we first started dating." She pinched your cheek softly, making both of you giggle in surprise.
"Ah i barely remember those days. We were in highschool yeah?" You hummed.
"Yeah! And we both would skip our last period to stroll about..until you kissed me in the stairwell."
"Man i was so nervous to do that. I wish i could still see your beautiful face. I bet it stills looks as pretty." You remark, smiling to yourself again.
"You sure never change." She chuckled, giving you a kiss on the cheek. "Lets stay like this for a while." She slowly linked her arm with yours, leaning on your shoulder.
For a moment, its almost like you could picture her. You bet shes Still the most gorgeous woman youve ever come across.
Not a thing changed about her, especially not how gentle she was with you. She always slowly led you to bed, or chairs, no matter where it was. If you two were out together, she would make sure you were okay.
