Shooting stars never fly for me.

"SOAP, C4, GET DOWN!" i Screamed,  coughing from the dust rising off the ground. Bullet grazed our heads as i saw the C4 get tossed in our direction.

As i tried yanking him away, i was suddenly shoved harshly in the direction of safety. It hit me, that i saw...a 3rd c4.

"Soap?!"

"SOAP?!"

A deafening explosion left ringing in my ears, thanks to my ear protection saving my hearing. My heart hammered in my chest, my hands traveled to my eyes on instinct although i had goggles on.

My Head swung, as i heard a loud cry.

"JOHN!"

I screamed over the gunfire, and explosions, my legs gave out beneath as dust clouded my goggles, and i coughed relentlessly.

When i finally made my way over to his body, i saw Soap...in a pool of his own blood, with his entire left leg blown off.

His eyes—i'll never forget them. Limp, but open. Lifeless.

Hearts on mars, kind of hard to see

I wake up, in a cold sweat. The room i was in, my own quarters, almost completely calmed me. But that doesnt help me fully against the nightmare i had.

Ever since soap died, its been getting harder for me to forget. Hell, do i even want to forget? I loved him.

Its been just 6 weeks from the incident, and i havent been the same since.

Everyone in this room is a stranger to me.

Price, charly, thorne, ghost, otter...theyre all strangers. This way, when they die, it wont hurt as much.

I got up out of bed and made my way out to the group. They were just having a fun time, bonding with eachother.

Price finally learned how to be aggresive in uno. Surprising to me somehow.

"Hey Y/N-" Ghost perked up.

"No thanks."

I went back inside my room, disheveled as i pitifully looked at myself in the mirror.

What a fucking mess. Yknow maybe if i had never tried to get him out of there, it wouldve ended better.

You know, you know i'll see you again.

I hear my door faintly open and close, but im too busy crying to care. All i do is stare at my self through my tearful, blurry vision until i see someone else pop into the mirror.

My heart starts racing immediately, just by looking at the hair of this mystery person. I think maybe its just my stupid imagination but...

I whipped around to my side, to see someone actually standing there. My breathing hitches into my throat, stopping any sentence i can muster out.

His hands trace onto my face, examining it with a gentle smile.

"Soap."

You know, you know
I'll see you again.
