Ben.

I woke up feeling medicated.

I instantly opened my eyes, suddenly remembering everything that has happened the past five hours.

The familiar doctor Irwin getting me called out of class, police with him.

The police questioning me the whole ride to the hospital.

I denied everything, they couldn't help us.

Briley and I just needed to run away, her and I needed to just leave the state.

He'd never find us.

By the time we got to the hospital, the police were becoming more and more adamant about me answering their questions, which consisted of "so why is your sister telling us that you are both abused if you are claiming that none of that is true?" And I couldn't make my brain come up with an answer.

And then, Irwin wanted to start sticking me with needles and stitches and shit- and to say the least, I lost my shit.

I just saw red

Until I was suddenly being held down, feeling a needle in my arm.

"Ben, buddy. You are okay." Irwin was the main one holding me, but I steady fought him to get him off of me.

"Just let us go home" Was the last thing I remember telling them.

I sat up, noticing I was alone in the room.

I needed to find Briley

I took the IV out my arm, taking the monitors off and immediately standing, ignoring the ringing that was coming from the devices.

Just as I walked out the room, Irwin was stepping in.

"Where are you going?" He seemed calm.

"I have to find Briley" I told him.

"She's safe, she's with Calum, Doctor Hood- she's actually watching a movie, almost asleep." He told me.

I didn't trust him.

"Would you like to see her?" He knew I didn't trust him.

Him and I walked side by side down the hide, silence between the two of us until we appeared at a door with police outside of it.

They let us in immediately, and I immediately saw Briley in bed, sleeping with her head leaning on the other familiar Doctor's shoulder as he sat in bed with her, clearly reading her file.

"Why are you in bed with her?" His head instantly shot to us as I spoke.

"She asked me to be" he spoke quietly, clearly not trying to wake her.

"She didn't ask you to get in bed with her- she doesn't know you, she wouldn't do that." I spoke firmly.

"She does know me." He nodded slowly to me.

"She's met you like twice-" I stopped when I remembered what she told me in the parking lot this morning.

"You're the one that's been giving her medicine, Calum"

He nodded slowly, never taking his eyes off of me.

"You convinced her to say all that stuff about Roy-" "I didn't convince your sister to do anything. I gave her a safe place to come to when she needed help." I got immediately angry at his words.

"She ruined everything today-" "she saved herself and you today." He didn't even give me a second to speak, which was making me more and more angry.

"You don't know what it was actually like!" My body suddenly yelled, immediately waking Briley.

"Ben" Irwin spoke calmly, moving to me.

I felt my body wanting to cry as I saw her facial expression, she looked scared.

"Why are you scared?" I asked her.

"Why are you yelling?" She spoke calmly and quietly.

"Because we should be home." I told her.

"No, home is not safe for us-" I cut her off with a laugh.

"You've let these men brainwash you." I spoke to her.

"Because what do you think is going to happen once they make us leave here?" I asked her.

"They're going to send us to some random peoples house and we are going to have to fight for everything we need or want until we are old enough to get to where we can live on our own-" "okay Ben." Irwin got much more stern with his voice, making me look to you.

"You have no clue what we actually have planned for you guys, so let's not fill your little sisters head with fear and let's let her rest, say goodbye for now." He clearly wasn't giving me a choice.

"I'll be back."
