Briley.I woke up to whispering and someone messing with my hand.
As I went to pull it away, finally waking up I heard Calum
"Briley it's just us, keep your hand still for us" I looked towards them, seeing that they kept the lights off, but had a little portable light standing over my hand, where they discussed.
"What's wrong?" I asked, seeing both Calum and Michael look to me, smiling.
"Nothing love" michael spoke, grabbing the familiar gauze and wrap.
As he started wrapping my hand back, Calum moved to me, smiling lightly.
"Go back to sleep" he spoke calmly, making me look to the clock on the wall, seeing it was just past midnight.
"Why are you guys awake?" I asked.
"Doctors don't sleep much" Calum laughed, making Michael give a small laugh to agree.
"We are also planning your surgery for your hand" michael hummed to me.
They had mentioned surgery about my hand, but not much more had been said other than that I needed surgery and soon.
"When is that?" I asked them.
"Friday" Calum told me, making me instantly nervous, but I just gave them a small nod.
"Don't get nervous-" "I'm not" I interrupted Calum, seeing his smile increase.
"I know your expressions, kiddo- you're definitely nervous." He spoke, making me exhale lightly.
"But it's okay to be nervous, you can ask any questions you need to ask, but you have the best doctors on your team." He told me, making me nod.
"The very best" michael agreed with a grin before joining Calum in sitting beside him.
"You guy should go to bed" I spoke as michael yawned.
"I like the way you think" michael laughed, standing with a small stretch
"I will see you both in the morning, sleep good." Michael spoke to us.
"You too- go home and get rest" I spoke, although the last thing I actually wanted Calum to do was leave me here, alone.
"No, I told you I wasn't leaving you" he smiled, laying back on the couch, turning his head to look at me as he did.
"Are you comfortable?" I asked him.
"Of course, we have the best couches in this state" he spoke, and although it sounded like it would be a sarcastic statement, his voice didn't sound sarcastic.
"Was that sarcasm?" I asked
"No" he said with all seriousness
"We really have the best couches in this state."
