"Was that sarcasm?" He asked as he held the nurses door open for me.

"Not at all." I lied, leading the way in.

"Nice Doc's" a man in the same color scrubs spoke as Cole and I walked in together, making me smile to him politely.

"Thanks." I nodded.

"Calum, you and I will take Miss Briley" the doctor who walked me here spoke firmly, making him immediately stand.

"Right this way, Miss" he smiled.

Cole and I exchanged a small glance before I followed, being led into the small room with the doctors bed and equipment.

"Take a seat for me-" I felt my heart immediately best faster as I moved to the bed.

I sat on the bed, exhaling lightly as the other doctor shut the door behind him.

"Okay Briley, I am Doctor Irwin, this is Doctor Hood and we will be doing your assessment today." He smiled to me lightly.

I didn't speak.

"Well you gave me all of your basic information on the walk here- so let's just get down to the fun part." He smiled.

There's no way he just called this fun.

"This just goes around your arm for a tight squeeze, this on your finger." Hood explained carefully as he attached a blood pressure cup around my arm and something to my finger, is all going silent as it tightened.

"Blood pressure is low" he spoke to the other, making the other read the numbers before nodding slowly.

"We will take it again before she leaves."

I let Irwin listen to my heart and lungs before Hood checked my joints and reflexes and such.

"Okay now weight and then we will do blood pressure again and you will be good to go!" Irwin spoke cheerfully.

Weight was always the worse part.

The numbers on the scale will indicate whether I have a good or bad relationship with food for the next few weeks.

As I approached the scale I exhaled, looking to Irwin.

"I don't want to know the number." I told him, seeing confusion immediately take over his face.

"Is there a reason-" "I just don't want to know." I reiterated, almost begging him with my eyes, and I think he understood.

I looked away as I got on the scale, hearing him him before covering the number with his hand, telling me I could step down.

"Thank you."

He just relieved so much anxiety for me.

"Okay- we will be back in just a moment" the dismissed themselves, allowing me to genuinely relax.

But they returned minutes later.

"Okay- just a small blood pressure check." We went through the process of the blood pressure cup inflating and deflating before they looked to each other.

I could tell from no one speaking- they were thinking something.

"What's wrong?" I asked slowly, watching Hood look to me.

"Doctor Irwin and I are concerned that you aren't taking in the proper nutrients that your body is requiring." He spoke calmly.

"So what does that mean?" I asked slowly.

"Well we are just going to contact your parents and let them know that we are requiring blood work, which will need to be done in our office, and stress to them how serious this is-" "you can not call my dad." I spoke firmly.

"Why not?" Irwin spoke.

"Because- you just can't." I felt my frustration kicking in.

"Well- this is a serious problem that we need to address, you could become very sick from this-" "I understand, just tell me what to and not to eat and I will handle it."

If they told my dad this, I would never hear the end of it.

Especially if they interrupted him while he was working.

"It's not about what you eat- you could require a vitamin or a medicine- we need to do blood work." Hood spoke slowly.

I immediately started picking the skin around my nails, thinking.

"Can we just- tell my brother instead? He's a senior, he could get me to whatever appointment you want me at." I mumbled to them, seeing them glance to each other.

"I guess we could work with that- for now"
