Briley.I stuck my fingers down my throat, immediately feeling relief as the huge breakfast came up, making me exhale.
I thankfully finished before anyone came in, making me quickly wash my hands and fix my hair before heading to my class, meeting Cole.
"Listen, I know it's nine in the morning, but I really need a smoke."
I didn't have to say anything else to him, he was with me.
We each had our own this time, him letting me rant about everything with as little detail as I could, because I couldn't tell him everything.
"No offense or anything Bri, but I think your dad might be a little abusive" he mumbled, making me laugh lightly.
Little do you know.
"It's not like that" I lied.
Just as I finished mine off, I heard the overcome speaker announce a quick "Briley Gonzales report to the nurses station"
"What's that about?" Cole asked me quietly.
"No fucking clue."
I walked alone to the nurses station, telling Cole I'd find him at lunch.
I went in, seeing a nurse smile lightly.
"Room three"
I opened to door, seeing Hood.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, entering the room with him.
"You need your medication- I'll do this for you everyday if I have to." He spoke, dropping three pills in my hand, handing me a nutrients shake with it.
He made me sit with him as I took the pills and tried to drink the shake.
"My teacher is okay with me being gone this long?" I asked him, knowing it was my study hall, but knowing that Mrs.Baker was serious about studying.
"Yeah- she's fine with us doing it everyday as long as your grades stay up."
So he sat there and quite literally watched me talk to him.
Calum.
She was so open today.
Not touching her shake even half as much as I wanted her to, but I was happy to see that she liked to hold actual conversation.
"What's the C in your name for?" She asked me, nodding to my name tag.
"Calum" I spoke swiftly.
"Calum Hood" she spoke out with a smile.
"That's got a nice ring to it" she nodded as I smiled at her.
"I'm glad you think so, Miss Briley Gonzales" I spoke swiftly.
"Drink your shake" I told her as the conversation died down and suddenly it was like her demeanor changed.
"Yes sir" she spoke and at first I almost thought she was joking, until I watched her start drinking it.
"Woah" I spoke, scooting closer to her and stopping her.
"Was that a serious, yes sir?" I asked her
She stared to my eyes, as if trying to figure out what I wanted her to say.
"You told me to drink-" "but I didn't mean it as a demand." I told her calmly.
"And you never ever have to address me as sir, you have free will to talk to me however you feel. You have a say in everything you do as long as you're with me." I told her, but she looked confused.
"O-okay" and nodded calmly.
"Do you want to drink the shake, or not?" I asked her.
"Do you want me to drink it?" She asked me calmly.
"Briley- do you want to drink it" I emphasized it to her, and I watched her almost panic
And before I knew it, tears formed in her eyes and she was just purely panicking.
"Please just tell me if you want me to drink it or not." She cried out.
"Briley- Briley" I spoke, taking it out of her hand and pulling her chair closer to me so that she would calm down.
"Take a deep breath." I told her.
"You will never be put in a situation with me where you have to panic yourself to the point of crying over it, okay?" I spoke calmly, grabbing her hands, which she immediately pulled away from me.
"You genuinely have a choice with me. If you don't want to drink the shake, you do not have to. If you want to, it's all yours. No reason to cry." I told her calmly,
I watched her wipe her tears.
"I'm full- I don't want the shake." She spoke quietly after a moment.
I threw it away immediately.
"See? No big deal." I told her calmly, watching her nod slowly.
"Calum?" She spoke after a second of just breathing and getting over our little panicked moment.
"Yes?" I spoke calmly to her.
"You're coming back tomorrow, right?"
