Calum.I grabbed her hair as she threw up, myself immediately rubbing her back and talking her through it.
I paged Michael, knowing she most likely threw up her anxiety medicine.
I wiped her mouth once she seemed okay, watching her wipe her tears calmly.
"What happened angel- you felt nauseated?" I asked her calmly as I helped her stand.
"No- he just kept asking me about what happened that night and I didn't want to answer, and his voice got so stern and I just panicked and then I started feeling sick" she rushed out her sentence, gripping my shirt into her hands as she did, making me pull her into a tight hug.
"You're okay baby" I told her calmly.
She relaxed into my hug, letting me walk her back to bed where I got her to sip water before laying down as I laid beside her, letting her hug me tightly.
Soon Michael came in- seeming more than confused
"Ben accidentally upset her and she threw up- I'm thinking the anxiety medicine was already kicked in but not sure." I told him, seeing him calmly move to her, touching her head gently to look at her.
Her eyes blinked towards him, which seemed to make him smile.
"Her eyes are still bloodshot, I think she's okay." He told me calmly.
"Just relax sweet girl, you can go to sleep, Calum is going to stay in bed with you and I'm going to do all my charting right here." He spoke, grabbing a stack of papers that he had to fill out, making her nod slowly as she touched her head to my chest.
Within almost minutes I felt her body relax into my hold, telling me she had fallen asleep.
"She's asleep" I whispered to Michael, seeing him slowly nod.
"You should get some rest too, I know the couches aren't shit, if you want to go to the attendings lounge I'll stay with her and we can switch later on" he told me quietly.
"No it's okay, I'm going to lay with her for just a few more minutes until I'm sure she's deep sleeping and then I'll move to the couch"
Michael.
I continued my paperwork, soon letting out a yawn- knowing I was ready to sleep and looking to my phone, seeing it was one am.
"Man we have to get some sleep" I spoke to Calum, looking to the bed when I didn't get a response.
She was sleeping against his chest, his own body completely relaxed as he breathed quietly, sleeping silently.
"So much for moving to the couch" I laughed before throwing a blanket over both of them.
"See you two in the morning"
