Oh, gosh...

Albus paced around his room in a (very gay) panic.

"Am I?" he muttered to himself.

Just then, Scorpius entered their dorm. "Hey Albus! What are you doing?"

"Oh, uh, nothing! I just remembered, I have to, um, borrow something from the library!" Albus rushed out of the dorm, leaving an extremely confused Scorpius standing alone.

The next day, Scorpius caught up to Albus as he walked down the hallway to their next class - Potions. "Did you manage to get that book you needed yesterday?" he asked, smiling at Albus.

"Yes, oh, would you look at the time? We should probably get to class quick." he said, and they rushed into the classroom.

They weren't actually late, but Albus had to come up with something.

As they sat down at their usual table, Albus kept looking over at Scorpius. During the lesson, his eyes kept wandering back to Scorpius as they were brewing their potion.

He couldn't help but get distracted by the way Scorpius's silky, platinum blond hair flopped in front of his face, the way his lips curved in a smile whenever the potion turned out correct, the way his beautiful grey eyes brightened considerably as more of the steps were completed.

Just then, Albus heard a snicker from one of the Gryffindors, and it snapped him back to reality.

Stop it, Albus, he chided himself. You're not supposed to like boys. That's not how it works.

It was getting harder and harder to hide his attraction to Scorpius, he knew, and he had to figure something out.

The autumn break had soon rolled around, and Albus decided to visit his uncles Dean and Seamus, with the permission of his parents.

"Hello Uncle Seamus!" Albus said, standing at the door.

"Why, hello, Albus! What brings you here?" Seamus greeted him warmly.

"Well, I have a bit of an issue."

Both Seamus and Dean were looking at him now.

"I'm-I'm gay." Albus glanced down, ashamed.

"Well, that's wonderful, Albus!' Dean exclaimed.

"What?" Albus's head shot up.

"We're gay, too, remember?" Seamus grinned.

"Oh, yeah," Albus remembered all of a sudden. He instantly felt stupid for thinking that, and smiled.

"So, who's the lucky guy?" Dean asked. "I mean, you don't have to say if you don't want to." he added quickly when Seamus shot him a look.

"Um, it's my best friend." Albus said, abashed.

"He would be lucky to have you," Seamus comforted him. "We don't care who you like, even if it was a pumpkin! As long as you like them, we'll be happy."

Albus chuckled a bit. "Thank you." He hugged Dean and Seamus, and left.

After the break, Albus boarded the Hogwarts Express. He trudged through the compartments until reaching an almost empty one.

Almost empty, that is - except for Scorpius.

Albus's face brightened.

"Scorpius!" he exclaimed. Scorpius turned and beamed, rushing over to Albus and hugging him.

"I missed you! Why didn't you write?" Scorpius complained.

"Love you too," Albus grinned cheekily, blushing.
