Today, Ciara and I are flying back to Seattle to stay at my place for the next few days. It's been a while since I've seen my friends. So tonight we're going out together as a group. Both of us are looking forward to tonight. She's only hung out with them a couple of times since she first met them. The guys like her, and she and the girls seem to be hitting it off. I'm glad they like her
because if they didn't, that would have been very upsetting.

We would be landing in another hour. So for now, we were cuddled up with each other. We slept for most of the flight since we had to wake up at 6 AM. We're heading to my place to sleep a little more once we land. Then we're going to visit my mother since we haven't seen her in a while. I told her the good news about moving to LA to open a new firm, and she was happy for me. My brother and sister are happy about the news, too. It's a great feeling to have their support.

I looked to my left to Ci sleeping with her head resting on my shoulder. I moved a strand of her hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead lightly. She moved a little in her sleep before she interlocked her arms around mine. I figured I'd take a nap, so I closed my eyes. Before I knew it, I was asleep. An hour later, I was awakened by Ciara shaking me lightly. My eyes opened, and I looked around noticing we had landed.

"Wake up sleepy head." She giggled as she stood up. I stretched in my seat before standing to my feet. I grabbed our bags from above us, and we got off the jet.

We were going to take an Uber back to my place. So in the meantime, we sat in the airport to wait for it to arrive. After waiting thirty minutes, our Uber arrived. We greeted our driver and got in before I told him our destination. When we got to my place, I paid the driver before getting out of the car and grabbing our bags. We thanked him and made our way to the house. Ciara unlocked the door, and we went inside.

"Home sweet home. Seems like it's been forever since I've been here." She chuckled and dropped the house key into the key bowl.

She took her coat off and hung it on the coat rack before heading upstairs. I followed behind her with our bags in my hand. We walked down the hallway until we made it to my room. I sat the bags down on the bed and sat down at the edge of it to take my shoes off. Ci went to the bathroom to get in the shower. I scrolled through my phone to pass the time. When she finished, I went in afterwards. I spent about thirty minutes in there before getting out and drying off. I wrapped the towel around my waist and walked back into the room to see Ciara already knocked out sleep. I went to my drawer and pulled out a white tee and a pair of grey sweats before slipping them on. Then I got in bed behind Ciara and wrapped my arms around her waist, snuggling my head in the crook of her neck. I love it here.

Ciara and I slept for about four hours before we got up to get ready to go see my mother. It was 1:30 PM, so we had plenty of time before we went out tonight with my friends. We'll probably stay at my mom's house for about two hours and then come back to my place so we can get ready in time to meet up with everybody. After pulling into the driveway, we got out of the car and made our way to the front door. I rang the doorbell and a few seconds later, my mom answered the door. She smiled when she saw us, reaching out to hug both of us.

"Hey! I'm so glad to finally see y'all again. I missed you two so much." We pulled away from the hug.

"We missed you, too. We've been pretty busy lately."

"I see. Come on in here and get comfortable." We followed her into the living room where we took a seat on the couch.

"I just made some coffee. Would y'all like a cup?"
