Nayeon's POV
As I walk to work I can't help but feel that the sun is brighter, the air is cleaner, and the city is livelier. Since my afternoon spent with Mina color has seeped its way back into my otherwise mediocre life.
Our friendship has successfully been rekindled and we're back to being closer than ever. Of course, there's the fact that I am madly in love with her but I won't be mentioning that to anyone anytime soon.
I scan my badge in ready to head to the pediatric department when I see a mob of paparazzi just like I did on my first day. I have a solid guess of who's at the center of attention.
"Seungkwan!" I call out
"Nayeon!" he rushes over with the paparazzi following closely behind
"I'm so sorry about the crowd we can talk privately if you prefer?"
"Don't worry it's no issue"
"Checking in?"
"Mhm! How about you?"
"Just having a chat with the future father-in-law" he says with a smirk
My heart drops. Father-in-law. He wants to marry Mina. He will marry Mina. Mina loves him and he loves her. That's great! Great news! I'm happy for Mina. Totally.
"Seungkwan you're going to miss your flight" a man I'm assuming is his manager inserts
Flight? He's going somewhere? Today?
"Sorry Nayeon I have to get going"
"Wait! What about Mina's premiere tonight?"
His eyes widen and he pauses for a moment.
"Was that today?"
I slowly nod my head. How could he forget his girlfriend's grand premiere? Mina's been preparing for months. This is a big deal for her.
"I totally forgot. Do me a favor and tell her I can't make it. I'm taking a short trip to America, tell her it's business she'll understand"
He walks off with a cocky smile waving to the cameras.
I feel my insides burn up. I dig my nail into my finger in an effort to fight my urge to punch his annoyingly handsome face. Calm down Nayeon. Their relationship is not your business. He wants to marry her! They have something special that you don't.

Mina's POV
The phone goes straight to voicemail again, for the 7th time. What is he doing? My phone beeps with a text I rush to check hoping it's him.
Sana: Did you know about this?
I click the attached link she sent.
It's a Dispatch article of Seungkwan at Incheon airport titled 'Popstar Seungkwan leaves for America'.
I bite down on my lip. I feel a puddle start to form against my waterline. Don't cry Mina. Of course he forgot. It's probably just business. He's always too busy.
I look up at the ceiling and blink as much as I can, anything to stop the tears from falling. Can't ruin the makeup when I have to walk on the red carpet in front of hundreds of cameras. Looks like I'm walking alone. My escort has completely bailed on me without warning.
How could he?
"Miss Myoui! You cross in 10 minutes, please make your way to the carpet"
I don't want to. I don't want this damn premiere anymore. My mind, heart, and body all scream for me to just stay locked in my dressing room.
