"Mina"
Nayeon's voice breaks at the sight of the sobbing girl, who has been damaged because of Nayeon.
"Mina please look at me?"
Nayeon picks up Mina's chin and her heart is soothened when she sees Mina's glistening diamond eyes.
Mina is drowning in too many emotions for her to handle, all she can do is cry in hopes of relieving her stress.
Until she feels shaking, yet warm fingers carefully swipe across her cheek. Wiping away her tears.
All of Mina's emotions that were flooding her mind were blocked and replaced with comfort at the touch of Nayeon.
"Please don't cry"
Nayeon looks at Mina intently. She's tired of everything in her life going wrong, for once she wants to make something right.
Nayeon no longer wants to live in a constant lie, she's ready to reveal the truth.
"I'm sorry, please let me explain"
Mina's mind falters, and she stands silent for a moment before nodding
And so Nayeon went on to explain everything from the start. How Jeongyeon had asked her out and cornered her into agreeing to the money deal.
How Nayeon is able to be a student at Hanlim and pay off her Mom's medical expenses.
Nayeon kept her head down while talking, ashamed of her choices. She didn't want to face Mina knowing any person in their right mind would judge her.
When she finished her tangent Nayeon was ready to walk away.
That's when gentle arms pulled her into a warm embrace.
Nayeon was caught off guard as she her head unintentionally laid on Mina's chest.
Mina hugged her tightly, not wanting to let go.
She held on to Nayeon, eager to comfort the broken girl.
"You're okay Nayeon."
Those three simple words caused Nayeon to release tears she's held back for years.
"You haven't done anything wrong, you're so selfless. You've put everyone but yourself first. It's okay to do things you want to do. You're a person after all."
Mina was healing wounds that have scarred Nayeon's heart for half her life.
Mina tenderly caressed Nayeon's hair, she let Nayeon cry in her arms.
"I understand. You can stick with me okay? When you're with me you can focus on doing what you want to do. Don't worry about others."
Nayeon just shook her head as she released a flood of tears and wails.
Mina refused to let Nayeon go, she continuously rubbed Nayeon's back and peg her hair and allowed the girl to completely let go of herself.
Nayeon deserved to be vulnerable in a safe space.
After a long while Nayeon's sobs had turned into sniffles and Nayeon pulled herself out of Mina's arm to stare at the girl she had missed so much.
The two said nothing. They simply admired each other in silence. Taking in the presence they've been missing for over a month.
Mina smiled but her face turned into a worried frown.
She reached for Nayeon's face.
"Your eye"
Mina's dainty fingers hesitantly and slowly approach Nayeon's eye.
Nayeon holds her breath and feels her heart begin to beat faster as Mina's thumb begins to trace around her eye.
