                                 HAYLEY
I leave the school walking. A car stops suddenly and I realise it's Jasper's. He opens the window and watch me.

-Get in the car Hayley. You are not walking with this weather.

-The weather is not that bad.

-Really huh.? Then why are you hugging yourself?

Okay, it's a little bit cold.

-Don't make me to come and lift you.

-Okay okay.
I open the passenger door and get in. He turns his head to the back seats and grab a bomber jacket.

-Have that.
I wear his jacket.

-Why are you still go home walking?

-My dad is working you know and I love walking.

-Does your dad know that?

-Nope. I told him am taking the bus. Before you say anything, he knows that am lying about that. So yes, he knows that am walking.

-Hm okay. Now I'm your personal sofer. Andd, before you say anything, am not hearing a word.

-But..
I try to say but he interrupts me,

-I got you hot chocolate.
He says pointing me the hot chocolate between the seats while he was driving. He stops the car.

-Can I ask you something?
He asks.

-Sure?!
Why did he stop the car? Am too curious.

-Why didn't you tell me your birthday is tomorrow??
He says like he is insulted.

-How do you know my birthday is tomorrow?? I didn't think it was important. Never did.

Here is where I am lying. My birthday was my favourite day of the year when I was with Lucas. He was always making sure to spend the whole day together.

-Of course it is important. I was about to give new students folders to your new teacher and saw the date.

-It's just a common day.

-Well, it is not for me. I will take you out..

-I.. I don't do birthdays..

-Really huh? But it's your birthday.

-Because it's my birthday, I prefer to stay home.

-Hm Okay then. What if I tell you that tomorrow it's my birthday too?

-Come on. Why are you even trying? Stop kidding.

-Am not. We just have birthday the same day.

-Emily would mention that..
I said but then I remembered one year when she couldn't come to my birthday party because they would go out with her family, for his brother's birthday. But I thought they were just celebrating in general. Not that we had the same birthday.
