I think the song is about 2 lovers who one died and is a ghost/spirit following the other around. I also think the other one fell into a depression after the other one died. I think that one died from an illness because they both sing 'You're gone, gone, gone away
I watched you disappear'. The lyric "And some days I can't even dress myself" I always think it says trust myself instead of dress myself also I think it seems more powerful cuz there are days that I can't trust myself. the alive one is most definitely thinking about not aliving themselves. with the lyric "Just let me go, we'll meet again soon Now wait, wait, wait for me, please hang around I'll see you when I fall asleep"
