We were all laughing after Nini got taken away by Jake to go who knows where and do who knows what. "I'm gonna go get some water." I said to the group. Holding these red cups with suspicious liquid in my hands was pointless especially because I wasn't gonna drink it anyway. I was going to the kitchen to collect water, it was okay I guess. Bumped into a few people and was 2 seconds from getting back to the group but then a hand tapped my shoulder. Lily. What does she want. I don't think I've had an actual conversation with her ever. "Hey Ricky" she said. Slightly drunk, but sober. "Hey?"
"Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Uh, sure I guess" I followed her slightly away from my friends and she started talking again.
"This'll sound really sudden, I know it will but do you I don't know make a sort of agreement, with me?"
"What are you taking about"
"Listen, it's a really, really weird idea but if we play it right then we'll both get what we want."
"What are we playing. What are you going on about?"
"Ricky. I want us to fake date"
What. The. Fuck.
"Excuse me? What?!"
"Nini and Jake got together a couple days ago right?"
"Yeah? But what does this have to do with me...or you for that matter?"
"Don't tell anyone but I kinda like Jake. Well I mean a lot. And I want him to date me I guess is what I'm saying. Plus you're drooling over Nini"
"What? No. Never. She's like...ew. Just no"
"Ricky don't lie to me or yourself. You like her. Hell, you love her. I'm not the smartest, far from it but it doesn't take a genius to work out that you two are in it to win it. Plus there's no other guy that Nini likes and it wouldn't work with anyone else. You in?"
"Lily...this is a lot"
"I know, we won't do anything like that. Occasional hand holding and light pecks but that's it" but then she got up close and whispered. "Unless you want more" I smirked. I then saw Nini walk past and something inside of me just took over me. Not to get her to date me or something but to see the look on her face. "Let's do this" I whispered. She smiled and cupped my face before ferociously smashing her lips on mine. It was a weird sensation. Not horrible just way too aggressive. I pulled away soon after. "We need some sort of set of rules" I breathed out, panting slightly.
"Sure, what were you thinking?" She asked moving her face away from mine, but she was still close.
"First of all. That won't happen again."
"Whyyy?" She dragged on "I thought you liked it as much as I did."
"Lily, this is fake, you don't like me and I don't like you"
"Yeah, sorry. I still have to kiss you though. How else am I supposed to get Jake jealous?"
"Okay fine. Maximum 3 seconds, got it?"
"Sure"
"Also no feelings involved. I don't like you in that way. I'm doing you a favour"
"Please, I'm also doing you a favour Mr 'I don't like Nini'" she said, mimicking my voice. Then she started laughing. "But yeah I get it. No feelings. Is that everything?"
"It is for now"
"Cool, I'm gonna go get a drink."
"Sure. Bye Lily" I said waking away.
"Bye babe."
We separated. Honestly even though I hadn't had anything to drink I still felt weird and off. I said goodbye to the group before driving home. After brushing my teeth and putting my pajamas on I lay in bed staring at the ceiling
My life's about to get a shit more complicated now
