"The court will now take a ten minute break"
I left the courtroom, catching a glance of Kristoff's satisfied grin. This is going exactly the way he wants and it's killing me.
Once I left I finally let my tears fall. I've never been so scared as I am right now.
"Hey" Mr wright rubbed my back reassuringly "I know how you feel kid, believe me I've been through this more times than I would have liked but trust me when I say we will make this work"
"This goes against everything I believe in" I ran a hand through my hair nervously "letting a serial killer go free? Arresting an innocent girl. It's so wrong but I can't let anything happen to my family"
He nodded understandingly "we'll figure it out. Just stay strong okay"
"Okay" I nodded shakily "thank you herr wright"
"Times up" he said gravely "let's go back"
Apollo's pov
I watched as my captor picked up a soda that Kristoff left him.
"I wouldn't drink that if I was you" I said as the drink touched his lips "kristoff gets rid of everyone he worked with. That drink is most likely poisoned"
"Is that so?" He put the drink down, checking it for poison "it would seem you were right my dear. To think that ungrateful brat would try to kill me in such a cowardly manner" he crushed the soda in his hands.
"So what are you going to do now?" I asked.
He bent down and undid my restraints "I have no loyalty to a man who tried to take my life. You're free to go"
"Thanks" I rubbed my wrists. I was about to stand up when a rush of water ran down my leg "gah!" I gasped as I clutched my stomach "my water broke" I spluttered.
Dakiller nodded before gently scooping me up "let's get you to the hospital my dear. Consider it payback for giving me that warning"
"Thank you" I clung to him tearfully as he carried me outside.
