Affogato gets another call from Bitchegranate.

"Hello?"

"We need you to kidnap Night Shift and Maladin."

"Ok- wait- This is different. Why the sudden change?"

"Uh, Dark Enchantress decided to broaden your horizons a bit after witnessing how well you did against The Paladin."

"I'm still getting paid, right?"

"Actually, you're getting paid extra. She's really-"

"ON IT!" He hangs up.

Ten minutes later, he has both Night Shift and Maladin in the shopping cart.

Maladin slowly wakes up, "Huh..? What's going on?"

"You have been kidnapped. Also, I knocked Night Shift out for longer because I'm pretty sure he could use the sleep."

Maladin nods, "He really does. I was actually trying to get him to sleep before you knocked us out, so thanks!"

Killer Kitty starts pacing, "Hm.. I can't do what I normally do with The Consul because I don't know you and that would be weird."

"What do you normally do with The Consul..?"

"Oh, the usual.."

"Should I be concerned?"

"What? No! We play board games and watch movies. Sometimes we read fanfictions-"

"Oh I write those! Can you beta read my newest chapter?"

"Sure. Do you have your computer or-"

"I write on my phone!"

That's a red flag for Killer Kitty.

"Oh goodness... What do you write on, platform wise?"

"Wattpad!"

Red flags 2 through 7 for Killer Kitty, "Wattpad?! Do you have no STANDARDS?!"

"Well my readers like my fanfictions a lot..."

"What do you write about???"

"Hero RPF. The usual."

"What ship? You are a hero after all..."

Maladin smiles, "I write MalShift! We're together as civilians, so it's not that weird."

"Wait you are?"

"Yeah! We were together before we became well known heroes, before the MalShift ship was even a thing, so it's like, extra canon."

"Interesting...." Killer Kitty types something on his phone.

Maladin holds out his phone, "Here you go!"

Killer Kitty takes it, "You are very... trusting..."

"Well The Consul trusts you so I don't see why I can't either."
