15- Raging Storms and Conversations

Midnight flies into an alleyway and transforms into his civilian form.

When Affogato walks out of the alleyway, he looks around to see the streets much emptier than normal, "That's... Concerning."

A flash of lightning and rumbling thunder clue him in as to why. A storm is brewing overhead, and that can only mean one thing: Black Pearl is upset.

"I need to get home. NOW."

He starts running, but it's too late now. Gale force winds slam him against a nearby tree.

He lays at the foot of the tree, dazed for a while, before a voice snaps him out of it. He looks up to see... One of the intern heroes?

Adventurer holds out his hand, "C'mon, we're on our way to the designated shelter."

The moment he takes his hand, all of the wind stops.

Affogato gasps and holds a hand to his head, "Hold on- Hold on.. Where did all the wind go?"

SPICE DRAGON, who's pulling a large cart with several civilians inside, yells, "HE HAS THIS WEIRD IMMUNITY TO THE WIND! AND HE GOT IT TO WORK FOR US TOO!!"

DragonMaster rolls his eyes, "Yeah. I sure wonder how.."

Adventurer stares at him, "Don't you actually know? We've talked about this."

"I was being sarcastic."

Affogato crosses his arms, "Well, I suppose I should get going, then."

Adventurer holds up his hand, "Ah, well um, the wind immunity only works for us interns. You'll get slammed into another tree if you go too far."

Affogato sighs, "Fine.. but I prefer walking. Being in a cart with a bunch of other citizens seems.. Less than preferable."

As they walk, Affogato asks, "Wait, why are you three interns handling the rescue of civilians? Shouldn't the others be handling it?"

Adventurer chuckles, "The only other hero immune to the wind is Sober, and he only gets involved when the bar shuts down."

Chili Pepper leans out of the cart, "WAIT! ISN'T SOBER REALLY POWERFUL?! HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO COUNTER BLACK PEARL?!"

Before Adventurer can say anything, Chili Pepper runs up to him and pulls a notepad and pen out of her hair, "Tell me all the details!"

"Uh, I just happen to have immunity to the raging storm? That's all my powers are really good for, is helping me not die in Black Pearl's storms."

DragonMaster chuckles, "How impressive."

"Like you have room to talk, DragonMaster. At least I didn't make my debut cutting off the tail of an already defeated villain."

"I WANTED to be Cavalry, but nOoOO they just HAD to give me DragonMaster because 'thats what the fans call you'!"

Chili Pepper is furiously taking notes.

Adventurer picks up a cat, "That's why you register your name before you debut, or else you end up like that poor fellow Killer Kitty."
