"No droids," Mando told the man he spoke to.

It was a long way back to the ship and so the Mandalorian had decided to hire a ride, except we were in the current century and everything was done with droids. The one thing he didn't like.

The trader nodded, letting the pristine droid controlled ship ride away. Instead of the top of the range model, an older shuttle, metal falling off its body rode up, an equally old looking man in the front seat.

Mando's bounty was still awake, making it easy to get him into the backseat before he carelessly let my bounty off his shoulder, his body slumping.

"I'll take the bounties, you take the front seat," he told me gently.

"Don't trust me to watch them?" I questioned.

He shook his head. "That bounty of yours was getting a little too close before I cut in," he explained.

"Relax Mando, kaysh mirsh'kyramud (He was boring me senseless)," I told him before taking a seat beside the driver.

"Are you ever going to tell me how you know Mando'a?"

"Maybe."

"That's a no."

The ship drove surprisingly well for something that was as old as it looked, although the constant humming and thumping from the engine made me almost cringe in pain. It needed some serious work.

"What's that?" I heard Mando ask me, and I turned my head to see him pointing across the ice.

Taking a deep breath, I let the Force course through my fingertips, feeling into the frozen ground beneath us. "Shit," I cursed.

Almost on beat, the ice in front of us broke, a creature bursting its way through. The speeder we sat in flipped on its back, throwing all of us from it and onto the ice.

I slid across its surface, hitting the ground hard. Pushing my hands against the ice, I pulled myself up, quickly searching around me.

Mando lay a couple of feet away and I watched as his head turned. He gave me a curt nod and I returned it, pushing forward towards the beast.

My bounty had woken up, now scurrying backwards from the beast. A Ravinak. Mando's bounty lay beside him, unmoving.

Life as a bounty hunter was hard. Harsh environments, constant wants for your death, but if there was one thing I had learned, you always bring your bounty in. Men don't want promises of their demise, they want their heads, usually still attached.

"Fuck," I cursed, breaking out into a sprint towards the bounties.

A tentacle soared towards my head and I fell back, sliding along the surface of the ice to avoid it.

"Solo!" the Mandalorian called out and I turned my head to him for a moment.

"Get the ship running. I'll get the bounties!" I told him.

With a nod, he turned from me, rushing towards the Razor Crest and disappearing inside.

"Hey! Help me!" my bounty called.

"Would I be running towards you if I wasn't intent on saving your ass?" I asked him, grabbing the man's arm and turning around.

In the distance, I could see the Razor Crest blow steam from its hull. He was rearing to go.

"Alright," I began, "help me pick up the other guy."

"Why would I do that?" he asked aggressively. "You're just bringing me to my death."
