Navigating the tunnels wasn't as easy as I thought they were going to be. Conversations were being had amongst the group, but I was paying little attention to them. All I could do was stare at him. Cara held one of his arms, aiding him to walk as Greef led the way. He looked so weak.
I limped across the harsh metal flooring of the sewers, my own wounds catching up with me, but the blood that trailed behind me wasn't important at that moment. We had to get the kid out of here and to safety, then I would patch myself up.
Miggs pulled back, walking slowly alongside me. "How you holding up?" he asked.
Swallowing the pain, I nodded. "I'm fine."
He cast a look down at my hand. It was grasping tightly onto my side. I was almost certain that there was a blast wound there. "Yeah, I definitely believe you."
"Is Mando okay?" I asked then and he scoffed.
"You're falling apart and you're worried about him? Kriff Solo, you need to put yourself first at some point."
Stopping for a moment, I could feel my vision blur. Dizzy, I closed my eyes for a moment. Miggs was on me in a second, hand on the side of face.
"You're too pale."
"Aria," Din's worried voice echoed through and soon, I could feel his gloved hand on my skin.
"You need to rest," I told him.
"I feel fine," he answered.
"The bacta spray is working," The IG unit explained.
Opening my eyes then, I looked through the Mandalorian's visor. "I'm okay."
"No, you're not. You're bleeding out. Do you have any of that spray left?" He directed his last sentence towards the droid.
"I only had enough for one injury," it replied.
Shaking my head, I struggled to keep my eyes open. "I'll manage. Just... lets keep moving."
"I think you need to take a minute Kar," Mayfield suggested.
"If I stop now, I'm not getting back up."
It was clear that Din hesitated. "Then we keep moving. The Covert can't be too far from here."
He placed a hand around my waist, dropping the hand that didn't hold my side around his shoulder. We walked.
"Mando..." Cara trailed, stopping not seconds after we had began walking again. "Look..."
Aiding me to the front of the group, I spotted then what had stopped her. A pile of armour. It looked as though a small group of soldiers had shed their protection quickly and fled. Only, it was Mandalorian armour. Armour that belonged to the Children of the Watch, and they never took it off.
"Din," I tried.
He only stared and I could see the cogs turning in his mind as he tried to figure out what had happened. Miggs was quick to approach, taking me from him as he kneeled in front of the discarded armour.
Memories rushed to the surface of my mind, the fire as Mandalore fell, the bodies that were thrown on the streets. This armour did not have a body to belong to, but it meant to same thing. These people had been killed.
"We should go," Cara tried, approaching his side.
"You go," he replied. "Take the ship. I can't leave it this way."
