"There's three of us Caliban," I muttered as I left the ship. Toro had gotten to the Bay on time and with what we had asked. Only, he was one short.
"I couldn't get three speeders on short notice," he tried to explain. "You could ride with me if you want."
I cringed slightly. "No thank you. The last time I rode a speeder with your brother, he nearly drove us off a cliff."
"I'm not my brother," Caliban told me.
"So you're a good driver then?"
He hesitated, mouth opening to speak before he closed it again. "Fair point."
I smiled lightly, turning to Din. "Mind if I ride with you?" I posed.
"You trust me?" he retaliated.
I did. Trust him. "More than him," I replied with the gesture of my head towards the younger boy.
Mando nodded and I pulled the bag I had around onto my back, climbing onto the speeder after Din. Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around his middle, hands touching the cold metal. I wonder what his skin felt like under than armour.
"No," I told myself, shaking my head. I was not thinking like that.
"You alright back there?" Din asked, turning his head so that I was sure his eyes were watching mine.
I nodded. "Yeah."
"Let's go then."

We weren't moving long. Fennec was seen out by the Tuscan side of the desert which surprisingly wasn't far from the city. While Mando controlled the bike, I made sure to keep a close eye on the sand around us. If there was one thing I learned about Tantooine, it was that it was easy to be snuck up on.
"Wait," I told Din. "Dewback."
He stopped the speeder, Toro following suit as we jumped off and hurried to hide behind a nearby boulder. Binoculars would have come in quite handy right now. Unfortunately for us, Mando had traded Toro's for passage across the Tuskan's lands. I didn't let Calican know that my partner had probably made a mistake in trading them.
"Alright, tell me what you see," Din muttered, turning to look at Toro. I faced him too.
Dazed, it took him a moment to realise that the Mandalorian was talking to him. "Oh? Me? right." He stuttered. "Dewback. Looks like the rider is still attached." He suddenly became excited. "Is that her? Is that the target?"
I held out a firm hand, pushing the boy back down as he rose to his feet. He stumbled in the sand.
"It's probably a trap," I told him. "Fennec Shand is an elite mercenary. She's hardly going to be taken out by Tuscan Raiders. Also, I highly doubt she would be travelling on something as obvious as a Dewback."
"We still have to check. Right?" he retaliated.
I sent a small glance towards Mando, perking a brow. "You cover me or I cover you?"
He sighed, mulling over the choice. "You cover me. If she's hiding out somewhere and shoots out, the bullets will bounce off of my armour."
"Do you not trust my ability to dodge?"
I knew he was right. It was the best option for this kind of situation, but I still liked to annoy him.
"I do trust it."
