When I opened my eyes again, a figure stood above me, holding a light. The very strength of it burned my eyes and I rushed to raise my hand to block it out.

"Get that kriffing shit out of my face," I muttered.

"Welcome back Solo," a female voice greeted, and I could hear the smile in her voice.

Turning my head, my eyes adjusted to the world again. I was lying down and Leia Organa stood at my bedside.

"Oh shit," I cursed, pushing my hands against the bed and moving to a seated position. My side stung. "What kind of trouble am I in?"

"You're in a lot of trouble kid," Han added, joining her side and wrapping an arm around her waist.

Scoffing a laugh. "Whatever asshole."

"You scared us Kar," Miggs told me and I noticed he was stood against the door to the infirmary. I was on a New Republic base.

"What happened?" I asked, touching my side. It had been patched up.

"You passed out on the transport, but lucky for us, your brother here noticed chatter about a Jedi on Nevarro and knew it had to be you. We were saved," Miggs explained.

"Thanks," I muttered in Han's direction.

He hand his arms crossed. "You have no idea how much you hurt us."

Smile fading, I swung my legs around the side of the bed so that I had a better view of him. "You would never have let me go searching for Maul."

"And did you find him?" he posed. "Was it worth it? We grieved you Aria."

The guilt seeped in and I shook my head. "I found him, but the only thing I did was almost get myself killed in the process."

"Since when was revenge so important to you?"

"You tell me that when you're entire life has been ruined by a single person," I countered.

He didn't answer that, huffing and turning from me to rush out of the room. I heard the doors close after him.

"He's happy to see you Aria," Leia tried, "but he was really messed up by what you did."

I nodded along. "I'll talk him again. Is the kid okay? Mando?"

She smiled. "They're fine, back on that death trap of a ship you've been travelling on. You can only guess my surprise when an officer tells me that General Solo was spotted in the system."

I rolled my eyes. "I knew he'd rat."

"You could have just told us Aria."

"I know, I know I could have, I just... honestly I didn't want to drag you down with me."

She hugged me then, wrapping her arms around me tightly. "Don't do it again."

"Don't plan on it."

"I'm going to go to check on Clara," Miggs announced, earning my attention, "she might need my help."

"Cara," I corrected.

He turned in the door. "Huh?" Completely oblivious.

"Just... go." I waved him away. He left.

"That Mandalorian of yours," Leia began and I turned back to her. "He's quite dedicated. The man only left this room when the guards dragged him."

I blushed, and I hated that I blushed. "How long was I out?"
