He was a peaceful sleeper. That was something that I had never expected from Din Djarin. We had slept in the same room, beside the same fire, in the cockpit, but it was different now. Now, I could see how he breathed when he slept, how his chest moved up and down evenly. I could see how his expression relaxed, and I realised that somehow I never imagined him relaxed.

Din lay on his back, one hand on my pillow and the other on his chest. His hair was a mess, and I couldn't help but smile. Leaning on my side, with one hand under my head, I watched him sleep.

I couldn't help it when I reached forward to brushed the brown curls from his forehead. He stirred but didn't wake. I could feel the scruff on his chin as I ran a gentle hand across his cheek. He needed a shave.

That was when the feeling hit me. It was the same one that I had experienced when Din told me that Moff Gideon was dead. I turned away, sitting up on the edge of the bed.

It was like I was panicked. That sinking feeling that grew in my chest, but I was not worried. There was nothing to worry me.

Din's hands wrapped around my waist, fingers reaching under the shirt I wore and onto my exposed skin. I closed my eyes as he rest his chin against my shoulder.

"I was enjoying you staring at me," he told me.

Sighing, I titled my head back. "I didn't know you were awake."

Turning his head, his lips kissed the base of my neck. "I'm not a heavy sleeper."

Reaching up, I ran my hand through his hair, tugging slightly as he kissed my sweet spot. He smiled into my neck and I cursed myself for allowing him to find it.

"We have things to do, Din," I told him.

His hands moved further upwards, and it was then that I realised I wasn't wearing anything underneath my shirt.

"We just got married," he argued softly as he continued to kiss my skin.

I shook my head, biting my lip as I came up with the strength to deny him. "Three weeks ago."

"Three weeks of marital bliss," he responded then.

I turned my head, reaching for his lips to kiss them gently. He replied within seconds, hands applying more pressure to my skin, pulling slightly.

A loud pounding at the door of the room jolted the two of us from our trance and I pulled away with a smirk as the interruption spoke.

"You two done making out in there?!" Miggs questioned.

Din pulled away, shaking his head and dropping his head against the crook of my neck. I adored the soft side of him, the side that I had rarely seen before and now that I saw too often. He was a completely different person when we were alone, and I loved that version of him, as well as the other. By whatever God there was out there, I loved this man.

"Is something wrong?" I replied.

"The controls are making some weird noises," he told me. "Something about leaking fluid, I think."

"What kind of fluid?" I asked then, hearing Din laugh into my neck.

"I don't know, stop screwing your husband and come find out." His footsteps led away.

Din looked up at me then. "I thought we were supposed to drop him home three weeks ago."

I rolled my eyes, fixing his hair with my hands. "He said he's leaving once we land. Something about business with a smuggler or something."
