It felt as though time couldn't pass any slower for Sebastian. After the exchange he had with Alexandra at the parking lot, he couldn't shake off the look in her eyes as she walked away. It felt like this whole thing with her was done before it even started.
He spent the entire time at Dublin's class staring at her - hoping that there would be any indication that she was as affected as him.
If that's how it feels like to be heartbroken, then it sure as hell right on the spot.
When the class ended, he decided to leave without talking to Alexandra. He figured that the more he forces himself to her, the more she'll distance herself away from him. And even if it's only less than a week since they've first met, Sebastian couldn't even bear the thought of not talking to her.
If that's how it feels like to like someone, then it sure as hell wrong to deprive himself that.
He was about to make his way to the Nutz when he realized that it was probably a bad idea to drink his feelings away so he decided to go to that one place he knows he'll find the person who would be able to help him out.
Anna.
Sebastian found her sitting at her usual spot at Corner Café. She had her earphones on as she seemed to be focused on what she was reading. He sat in front of her and she looked at him without taking out her earphones. They stared at each other for what seems like forever until Anna took one of her earphones,
"Who pissed on your coffee?" she asked.
"'Who pissed on your coffee?" Sebastian imitated her.
Anna shrugged as she put her earphones back on, "okay, then."
But before she could put it back on, Sebastian caught her hand, "Wait," he sighed, "it's this girl."
Anna looked into his eyes and his hand that was clutching hers, "don't you have other friends to deal with this?"
Sebastian smiled sheepishly as he let go of her hand, "You and I both know that in our group of friends, you're the only person that's remotely normal."
Anna sighed as she took her earphones off completely and close the textbook in front of her, "You have exactly fifteen minutes to tell me what is this whole deal about before I put these earphones back on."
Sebastian launched on his story without any inhibitions. He told her everything from the moment he first met Alexandra, the text message, the flat tire, and the exchange they had at the parking lot. He explained to her how he felt as if there was an endless pit in his stomach.
"So yeah, here I am. Basically fucked." Sebastian said as if to summarize the whole situation.
Anna smiled, "couldn't agree more."
"What do you think I should do?" Sebastian asked, seriously.
Anna stared back at him as if she was staring at a stranger, "Get your shit together."
"Yeah, like that's gonna help." He said taking a sip at her coffee.
"Hey there, Romeo! Just because we're having heart to heart talk here doesn't mean we can share coffee, too. Fucking get your own!" Anna said as she glared at him.
"Dude, chill." Sebastian retorted.
"It seems to me that this is all going too fast."
"I know."
"And, like, you're really not sure what you want."
"I know."
"Or maybe this girl Alexandra just bruised your ego. You're so used to girls pining on you that it felt like a slap on your face" she paused, "or your dick that she's rejecting you."
