It was the day of the charity fundraising and Alexandra had no choice but to attend since she promised her friends that she would be there. She managed to come up with an excuse for not going to the preparation meeting by using Xavier. But she couldn't ditch the day of the charity drive because she knew how much the cause mean to her friends. So as much as she wanted to just skip the event and not take the risk of running into Sebastian, she decided that raising money for the homeless and being there for her friends is more important than her almost broken heart. Besides, Xavier offered himself as support. She didn't exactly tell him what happened but showing up at the hotel crying her heart out was probably enough clue to tell him that something was wrong. Yet, he didn't ask any question and on typical Xavier fashion, he just took her into his arms and let her cry until she got tired and fell asleep in his arms.

When she woke up around midnight, he fed her with her comfort food followed by a tub of mango ice cream – something that they do since they were kids. When she asked him if he has any questions, he just shrugged and told her that he knew that she would tell him when she's ready.

She spent the night in his hotel room and shared the huge bed with him as if it was the most normal thing there is. It was as if they were kids again and as always, Xavier was there to comfort her. If only she was fourteen again and had the same feelings for Xavier, she was sure she wouldn't have her heart broken.

When she told Xavier about the fundraiser she didn't even bother inviting him because he already offered to go. She knew it would be nice to have him as support because it would save her the awkwardness of potentially running into Sebastian. Not to mention, knowing Xavier, he wouldn't hesitate to donate money for her friends' cause. It would also be a good opportunity to introduce Xavier to her friends and who knows, set him up with one of them. God knows, Xavier needs to start dating so he would stop worrying about his life more than hers.

Xavier's chauffeur showed up in the penthouse suite early in the morning to deliver Alexandra's things. She was planning on going home to get ready but Xavier insisted on just sending someone so she could have some more rest. Much to her comfort, Mr. Diaz and the lady in waiting got her exactly what she had written on the piece of paper.

By the time she was fixing her hair, Xavier entered the bedroom in his usual attire, an expensive dark Armani pants, a pale blue button up long sleeves and jacket that matches his pants. He was in the process of putting on his tie when Alexandra stood up and examine him, a smile lingering on the corner of her mouth.

"What?" he asked as he smiled at her, "like what you're seeing?"

Alexandra laughed out loud, "don't flatter yourself. I'm just wondering what the hell are you wearing."

Xavier looked confused, "What's wrong with these?"

"It would be perfect if you're going to a business meeting but if you're gonna hang out with me, better make it less... formal."

"But I don't have any other clothes."

Alexandra sighed, "Fine! Just lose the tie and the jacket."

"Fine." Xavier answered as he took off the tie that he already started tying. He, then, rolled up his sleeves up to his elbows and put on his Audemars Piguet watch that Alexandra bought for him as a gift when he was appointed as the new CEO of her dad's company.

"You're adorable." Alexandra said with a huge smile on her face.

"I know! That's why you love me." He said as he looked at her in the eyes as if she holds all the light in the world.

Alexandra, then, responded by giving him a kiss on the cheek. If only she could see Xavier more than a brother and best friend then her life would have been a lot less complicated.
