Alex did not know what to say as she stared back at his deep blue eyes, "I'd love to but I have a class in like" she looked at the time on her phone before she continued, "thirty minutes and I have yet to find the lecture hall."
"Oh, I see. Well, where and what is your next class?" he asked.
She took out her planner to check out her schedule, "Let's see... I have English and it's gonna be at Jane Austen Hall."
"You mean Honours English?"
She smiled sheepishly.
"Since you don't know where that is, how about I'll be your guide and we can grab coffee on our way there?"
"You just don't give up, don't you?"
"I'd like to believe that once you see the right one, you can't just let them get away." He said looking directly into her eyes.
She did not know how to react, and just like any other circumstances when she feels nervous and out of place, she retreated to humour, "Does that line ever work?"
Sebastian looked at her with a huge smile on his face, "You really are something else, aren't you?"
The two of them continued on their way to Jane Austen Hall. Along their way, they chatted about different sorts of things. Alex learned that Sebastian is majoring in Business and minor Philosophy. He was born and raised in Montreal but moved to Vancouver to get into his top choice university. He also have a dog that he took with him when he moved to Vancouver, it's an Alaskan malamute he named after a philosopher - Aristotle. Another thing that Alex noticed about Sebastian was his easy going personality and how he can easily make her laugh and make jokes. He doesn't make her feel awkward and he took upon himself to make the conversation going.
Once they reached the building Sebastian turned to her imitating the voice on a GPS navigator, "Now we reached our destination."
Alex smiled, "thank you so much for walking me here. If it was just me, I would've been lost and will probably miss the class."
"No worries, I actually have a great time talking to you. Hopefully we can do this again some other time."
"For sure! Who knows, I might just hire you to be my personal navigator throughout the entire semester."
"Well then you should give me your number and I'll be more than happy to be your navigator... among other things." He said as he took out his phone and hurriedly hand it to her.
Alex didn't even bother saying anything since she knew there was no point on turning him down. She quickly punched in her number and hand the phone back to Sebastian.
"Here you go." She said.
"Are you sure this is your number and not just some random pizza delivery service?"
"Unbelievable" she said smirking, "you can try calling the number if you really wanna make sure!"
Without even hesitating, Sebastian dialed the number which made Alex took out her phone from her pocket, "You've gotta be kidding me! You actually don't trust me." She said as she showed her phone to Sebastian as it ring and display his number.
Sebastian smiled and ended the call, "It's not that I don't trust you. It's just that I gotta make sure that I won't let you get away. It's not every day that I get to meet 'the one,' you know?"
Alex blushed, "I swear, drop another line again and I will punch you in the face."
Sebastian chuckled, "Alright, I'll leave you for now. Have fun on your honours English class and please don't cut the prof's throat on the first class."
