Alexandra showed up ten minutes late at the Korean barbecue restaurant that she and Xavier were supposed to meet. She barely had any rest or sleep since she had been studying and writing papers all night. The only reason she agreed on having dinner with Xavier is because she felt bad about how the other day when they both had an outburst at the restaurant. She knew Xavier wants nothing but the best for her to the point that he forgets about himself. He gives so much to her and she doesn't know how to give him back. So as much as possible, she wanted to at least be there for him when he's in town.
One thing that she was able to do is to dress up a little nicer than she was the day before. She wore knitted wool beige long sleeves, a comfortable pair of leggings matched up with a dark brown knee-high boots. She also managed to put on a touch of makeup that adds colour to her pale skin. She let her shiny wavy and curly brown hair loose which shapes up her face perfectly.
By the time she showed up at the restaurant, Xavier was already there waiting for her. He immediately got up from his seat upon seeing her. Alexandra surveyed him just as she took a note of how almost every single woman in the restaurant eyed Xavier. It was very clear that Xavier was the most attractive man in the room. It wasn't just the way he was dressed up but Xavier always have that way in him that magnetizes any living person's attraction – both men and women. He carries himself with authority and determination – that matched up with his piercing gaze would make any person fall under his power.
Xavier was already smiling at her when he opened his arms to give her a hug followed by a kiss on her cheek.
"I'm so sorry I'm late!" She said as she tried to take out her coat.
"Don't worry about it. I know you're busy." Xavier said as he helped Alexandra take out her coat. A server appeared out of nowhere and Xavier handed him Alexandra's coat. He then proceeded to help her out on her seat before he settled on his seat across from her.
"I didn't know that you fancy Korean barbecue now." Alexandra said as she smiled at him.
Xavier shrugged, "It has been my favourite since that first time your dad sent me to Korea to handle the account there."
Alexandra couldn't help herself but laugh, "That's the most adult 'thing' that I've ever heard you say."
Xavier smiled, sheepishly, "Are you actually making fun of me right now?"
Before Alexandra could answer, three servers came into their table to deliver their order. She had asked Xavier to order for them so that they would be ready by the time she arrived and she was not disappointed since Xavier ordered exactly what she would have ordered for herself.
Alexandra smirked as she answered his question, "No, it still surprises me that among the four of us, you're the one that ends up handling the family business."
Xavier grinned knowingly. Among the four of them he had been the wildest when they were kids. Alexandra couldn't count how many times they all had to formulate stories just to cover up for him and how many times he got in trouble because he didn't want to attend those fancy parties that their families were hosting.
