Xavier was reviewing a financial report when his temporary assistant informed him that the man he was expecting finally arrived. In the few years that he has been working for the Legrand Company, he was able to build a network of his own ranging from the richest people in their circle up to the common people one could meet on the street. One of them happened to be an ex-marine who've become a private investigator.

When Julianna Alexandra moved away from home, he first got in touch with the PI through a common friend. After all, it wasn't easy for any of them to just let the youngest person in their family to live on her own – not when she was fragile and was an easy target for people to get access to her billionaire father. Throughout the years that Julianna had been away, Xavier managed to check on her whereabouts through the PI. He received constant updates about the people she have close encounter with, including her bosses at work, her coworkers, and everyone else.

"Mr. Rousseau?" The man greeted him as he made his way to Xavier's table.

"Duncan, I think after a few years of working together, we could skip the formalities," Xavier said as he extended his hand to the well-built man across from him, "Xavier is fine."

"Xavier it is, then."

"I'm guessing you've got some information for me."

Duncan handed him an envelope which Xavier opened immediately. The first thing he found was a photo of Sebastian and the rest were files that Duncan has collected.

"Everything about this guy is clean," Duncan started, "No criminal records and not even parking tickets. His parents are both lawyers and he is their only son. Apart from the partying and the girls he had dated before, nothing surprising came up. I've managed to get access to his school records and the kid's got a 4.0 GPA," Duncan shrugged as he laced his fingers together, "which is pretty impressive considering that he's always out partying on weekends."

Xavier continued to flip through the files and photos that Duncan handed to him. Unlike the private investigator, Xavier was still sceptical about Sebastian – as far as Julianna Alexandra is concerned. He'd do anything to protect her and part of it is making sure that nobody could hurt her.

He flipped through the photos and found Sebastian sitting at a coffee shop with a girl whom he remembered was Anna, she was also at the fundraiser. He passed the photo to Duncan, "Any information on what's his relationship with her?"

Duncan flipped the back of the photo where Anna's information were all written down, "Name is Anna Xin, majoring in business administration and minor in accounting. Her parents are both successful accountants. According to my resources she's dating one of her and Sebastian's friend."

"So there's no red flag on this guy?"

"Nothing of great concern as far as Ms. Legrand's safety and security is on the line. I know that it's the highest priority."

Julianna Alexandra's security might not be in great concern but Xavier knew for a fact that above all that, he's more concern about her heart. "Very well, thank you for this, Duncan," he said as he stood up and shook the other man's hand, "I will contact you again if something needs attention. In the meantime, my accountant wired the payment to your account"

Duncan stood up as well and shook his hand, "Anytime, Xavier." He made his way to the exit but he turned around and faced Xavier again, "Sir, if anything, I think this man is good for her. I've never seen her smile and laugh like that throughout the years that you've asked me to check on her."

Xavier tried to keep a straight face, "I appreciate your thoughts, Duncan."

As soon as the man exited, he sat back down on his seat and looked at the file in front of him. He skimmed through the photos and the last one was a photo of Sebastian and Alexandra sitting inside a coffee shop. It seemed like the two were engrossed in their conversation and Alexandra's head was tilted back as she laughed while Sebastian sat across from her seemingly captivated and absorbed to Alexandra's laughter.
