The evening after the initiation was spent celebrating amongst Alex and his new teammates. The four ended up staying awake past the curfew hours, too busy rearranging their room so that the girls were one side of the room, while Alex had his bed on the other side; which was followed by a celebration that lasted until  Professor Goodwitch came a-knocking.

Morning came quick, far too quickly for Violet's liking as her deep slumber was disturbed by birds singing outside of their dorm room window. She grumbled as she attempted to bury her ears under the pillow, hoping to enjoy another hour of bliss. She probably would have, had Penny not seen her movement.

Penny: "Good morning girls!!"

Violet bolted upwards, still hugging her pillow to her head as her brain tried to catch up with being suddenly woken up. Penny beamed with a smile as she stood by the window in her emerald nightgown, holding two cups of steaming coffee.

Penny: "I do hope you had pleasant dreams! Alex had gone down to the cafeteria and brought us coffee and croissants."

Jacqueline climbed out of her bed, stifling a yawn as she accepted her cup from Penny.

Jacqueline: "Thank you, Penny. And thank you... oh, where is he?"

As if on cue, the team's bathroom door opened, revealing Alex in his new school uniform. He was just adjusting the cuffs before waving at his teammates. Violet rubbed her eyes, stumbling out of bed while struggling to gain her bearings.

Penny: "Here you are Violet! I wasn't sure how you take your coffee, so Alex has several creamers and sugar packets available."

Violet gave a tired smile as she took the cup, walking over to the end table where Penny indicated.

Violet: "Thanks guys... guess it pays to have a teammate who worked as a butler, huh?"

Alex raised an eyebrow at that, walking over to Violet. He casually swiped her cup and started to walk away with it, despite Violet's outcry as she clung onto him.

Alex: "I'm disappointed. I wasn't doing this as a butler, but a friend. Seeing as I'm not being paid, I suppose I should return this."

Violet: "Alex! Please! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! Could I... please have the coffee that you, my considerate friend and wonderful teammate, brought for us?"

Alex hummed to himself in thought, before spinning on his heel and re-offering the cup. Violet sighed in relief as she slowly gulped down the liquid, while Jacqueline giggled at the sequence of events.

Jacqueline: "Ok, ok. It's too early to start the first day with a fight. Penny, do want to have first dips in the bathroom? I want to look at the class schedule."

Penny nodded as she quickly grabbed her folded up clothes and zipped off into the bathroom. Alex sat on the edge of his bed while pulling out his scroll.

Violet: "So, what should we do to pass the time? Decorate the room?"

Jacqueline: "Sadly that will have to wait. We only have 40 minutes until class, and it won't look good to be late on the first day."

Violet: "Ah, might need to move quicker then. I'll get the curtain for us."

Finishing her coffee, Violet walked over to the wall where the room's foldable curtain was. Giving a quick wink at Alex, who rolled his eyes but nodded at the silent message, she pulled the curtain across the room.

Violet: "Oh! After class, Alex, could you tell me about your semblance?"

Alex: "Of course."

Alex pulled up the news feed on his scroll to read about the more recent string of dust related crimes. He wondered how Weiss was handling the news, since a large amount of the stolen dust came from her family. That's when the sound of something hitting the floor came from the other side of the curtain.
