Aarav's POV
I was in a good mood as the mission was going exactly the way we planned
"Hey there", Diya called me out as I stood at the entrance of my house.
"Hey babe", I said, lighting up.
"Haven't seen you for a long time", she said, engulfing me in a hug.
"Yeah... I was busy with work", I replied.
"Care to join for a walk?" she asked, winking.
"How can I say no?" I said, blushing.
We were having our private time until I noticed something fishy.
I could feel some guys following us for about seventeen minutes now. They looked like goons.
"Diya...", I called out, holding her hand.
"Hide!!", I yelled, motioning her to run.
"What?" she stopped as she noticed the goon surrounding us.
"Be careful", she said as she ran.
"You better not do anything stupid", I spad angrily, warning them.
But as always no one listens
One of the guys kicked me from behind as my face hit the floor.
The little pain I felt was easily overpowered by the anger building inside me.
I swiftly rolled over with my back facing the ground.
The guy wasted no time as he flung his arm to hit me in the face. I rolled a little over the side as his punch barely missed me by an inch and met the hard ground instead.
The guy was still bent over trying to gain his balance. Taking the chance, I kicked my legs with the maximum force I can give it. It landed right on his stomach as he groaned in pain.
"Still wanna fight?" I asked, smirking as I got up on my feet.
Another guy came forward as he tried to punch me.
"Idiots", I muttered to myself as I caught his hand and twisted it giving him a taste of pain.
But that wasn't it. I was now attacked by a few more guys who tried a number of moves.
I hit and got hit in the process. I mean, it's a part of the fight.
But I noticed one of them walking over to somewhere else.
Then it hit me.
"Diya!!", I yelled and I tried to free myself from these losers.
I quickly pulled out my gun and pointed at one of the guys.
"I love to fight with you guys but I don't have all day", I said, giving them a dangerous glare
The guys raised their hands in surrender.
I ran to find Diya fearing the worst had happened. I finally found her standing behind a pillar
"Thank god, you're okay", I said, cupping her face.
Then, I noticed the guy who followed her lying unconscious on the floor. He looked seriously injured.
How?
"Aarav, I was so scared", she said crashed into my arms as tears began to flow down her face.
"Luckily someone saved me, but I couldn't see the guy from where I was hiding", she said, pointing at the goon lying on the floor.
