Veer's POV

"Damn!! That was really a complicated mission", our head remarked on hearing the complete story.

"But it should be no surprise for people like us."

"I really appreciate your efforts and dedication throughout the entire mission", he said, flashing a smile.

"What happens to Chief Ram now?" Shiv asked, intrigued.

"He'll get what he deserves and I'll make sure of it. You don't need to address him as chief anymore ", he replied firmly and Shiv nodded.

"Don't you wanna talk about what you guys deserve?" the Head's question made us all confused.

"Us..?" I asked, wondering.

"Yeah... Promotions for y'all. Each one gets to mentor and be the head of a group of spies under you", he offered, sliding forward a few papers.

We were all beyond surprised by this sudden offer. I turned to look at the guys only to find them already looking at me.

With shared gazes, we already knew what we had to do. I nodded at them approvingly.

"We would love that, sir. But I think we are better off as a team", Aarav replied and slid the papers back, rejecting his offer.

"Are you sure? This is a major milestone in your career", he gave us a skeptical look.

"We couldn't be more positive of it", Sameer assured him

He smiled at us while we gave a nod as the sign of our approval.

"Respect to your bond and team spirit", he remarked, looking at us.

"But is there anything else I can do for you?" he asked, being persistent.

"We would be grateful to get a vacation without being tracked or chased behind", I replied honestly and it made him chuckle.

"Yeah, I can do the vacation part but not sure about the latter", he joked, laughing.

We were happy and excited to hear it. We said our 'thank yous' and discussed a few more things.

"Until the next mission calls, Agents", he said as we took our leave.

Aarav's POV

"Hurry up, dummy! The flight is in an hour!!!",Veer yelled as he placed his perfectly packed suitcase on the couch.

"Pretty packed, I see?" her voice gained my attention.

"You can say that... They all are very excited for this", I replied, giggling.

"Great", Diya smiled.

"So, what you're up to ?" I asked, not looking at her

"Hmm... Your head wants me to join the team. It amazes me that he trusts me to give another chance", she replied.

"Wow!!! That's awesome ", I exclaimed, pretending to be surprised.

"All thanks to the good word you put in about me to your head", she said, turning her head to face me.

"Did he just tell you that?" I laughed, shaking my head.

"No... A spy has her ways, you know", she winked.

"Right", I replied, trying to avert the topic as I began walking away

"Noo... Just tell me why you did that? I wanna know where we really stand. Just be honest", she blocked my way, being persistent.
