A few hours after breakfast, Kaira and Ashley were meditating in the back yard. They were on opposite sides of the pond, which they had put Axolotls in. Ashley was balancing on one finger on the butt of her spear while making rings of molten rock around her. Kaira was floating in the air, fire and lightning, the energies just far enough away from him that they wouldn't effect him, as well as just the same distance from the ground. Both of them were breathing slowly, carefully, because any sudden movements, actions, no matter how slight, could cause an immense amount of destruction.
"Hello." A voice greeted "Would either of you be either Kaira or Ashley?" Kaira couldn't hear the voice, the lightning and fire rings circling him were also being used as a shield against sound.
Ashley however, did hear, and opened her eyes, looking behind her to see... something. She couldn't quite tell what or who she was looking at. They carried a staff, one side looked like horns, while the other appeared to be a sharpened shovel. The object glowed dimly with holy power, the glow emanating from the staff calming to the girl. They had on green robes with dark blue markings on them, some looked like turtles, others like wolves. Their skin was a pale white color and they eyes were black, with only cyan rings around where she assumed the being's pupils were supposed to be.
"Yeah," She replied "I'm Ashley, and that's my younger brother, Kaira." She took her speat out of the ground, which seemed to cool the lava rings, catching the attention of the new person "What can we help you with?" She asked as she put her spear in its sheathe on her back.
"Oh, well. You see my boss has become quite bored lately... with all the conflict and fighting being over." Ashley tilted her head, what was this person talking about "His great holiness has decided to hst a tournament. He has other assistants like me, and he has sent them to other universes to recruit people for the tournament."
Ashley could only stare, she was done fighting, she had been for a long time now, so she calmly, and bluntly, said "No, I'm done fighting, and if your boss wants me or any of my family to participate in his little game." Her eyes began to glow, molten energy burning inside them "Then tell him to come and get us himself."
"Ashley, if you do not come with me now, then he will destroy all of you. He has no problem doing anything he needs to if he sees it fit. Now, I'd suggest you simmer down, and come with me." Their demeanor hadn't changed, nor had their tone, and yet Ashley felt a little intimidated.
"Oh, come on. We've fought god before- hell my other brother's whooped Satan's ass and found other demons."
"What you don't understand is that Prokaz and his little Heaven and Hell, the Jehova who would wipe out entire worlds if he wanted to... that's nothing compared to my master. He will wipe everything out if enough people refuse to come. If I spoke to Kaira do you think he'd want to come?"
Ashley pondered this for a moment, then replied "Honestly, I haven't seen him be enthusiastic about fighting since we were alive. That was years ago, so I don't think he'd want to come any more than me. So sorry, but the answer is no. Now get the fuck out of my house."
As soon as she ended that statement, the being looked down on her, and told her, still in their emotionless, neutral voice "Alright, but if I return, it would do you better to not be this rude again." Before Ashley could retort, they tapped their staff to the ground, and they disappeared in a pillar of light.
"Okay, that wa-" Suddenly, she noticed how much less energy, power, there was in the air now 'Wait? Was he actually so powerful that his very presence could extrude that level just by being here?' She looked at the ground 'Maybe I should've just gone along... nah.' She stabbed her spear back into the ground, then got back on it, and went back to her meditation, or she tried to...

Out in the city

Prokaz was hanging out with Candy while Evie was having a day on her own. As the two walked into a library, looking for books on how to enhance magic, powers, and other types of abilities, they felt a new, unnervingly powerful presence behind them. Prokaz looked to Candy, who nodded to him. He narrowed his eyes and the two turned around.
"Prokaz Sendo, correct?" The figure asked.
"Yeah, that's me," He retorted "What? Want an autograph or somethin'?"
"Prokaz, calm down," Candy told him.
"No! There's not one month we can live these days without some shit going down." He looked up and asked "The hell do you want?"
"Listen, since this is a library, perhaps we should speak in private." The person tapped his saff on the floor and a bubble formed around them "Alright, now no one can see or hear us... so, let's get to what I came here for." Prokaz tried to create one of his skulls, but it wouldn't work "Oh, I'm sorry, that won't work here. This is my little pocket dimension... so let me explain what needs to happen."

Two Hours Later

Sora and Serenity had gotten back from their day out and saw Kaira on the couch, looking... scared? While Sora went over to see what was going on, Serenity went to go find Ashley. Sora sat down next to her adoptive son and put a hand on his biological shoulder. He didn't even look at her, just fell on her, his head slamming against her shoulder. She held him, her arms around his shoulders, she pulled his her against herself, and placed her chin on the top of his head. She didn't know what had happened, but it couldn't be good. She ran her hand up and down his back, Kaira still saying nothing... that was never a good sign.
"Kaira, baby. What happened?" She asked him, still no response.
Serenity looked in Ashley's room, but the fire haired girl wasn't there. She went down stairs to the backyard, and she found Ashley... but she seemed different than what she was used to. She wasn't balancing calmly, still. She wasn' like a statue, where the only reason you could tell she was alive was her slow breathing. Right now, she seemed to be struggling to stay on her staff. She wasn't even making lava rings on the ground, something was wrong. Serenity could tell she was struggling to stay on the weapon. Her face was scrunched, as if she was using all of her effort to stay on the pointed staff. It was clear that something wasn't right... very clear.
'First Kaira's not saying... or doing anything. Now Ashley's struggling? What's going on?' She walked away from her friend and went up to her and Kaira's room to think.

Meanwhile, at the Heallven house

"Evie? You back?" Candy asked as she and Prokaz entered the house.
"Yeah, I'm here!" She yelled down from the second floor "How was your day?"
"Weird... let's head over to Sora's. That may be the best place to go."
Evie appeared in a puff of black matter and asked "What? What happened?" She looked up into Prokaz's eyes "Tell me."
"Alright... so, apparently, God, Satan, everyone else we've fought. They're nothing compared to the person who controls us all." Evie was confused.
"Wait... what do you mean control us? We're not acting on our own free will?"
"I think its more like this... person, he's actually who causes everything to happen... and when I say everything, I mean everything. He causes the wars, he causes our conversations, he causes us to breathe." Evie walked over to their table and sat down "He wants us to fight. Not just against Kaira, Ashley, and all of them. He wants us to battle against literally everyone. Everyone across the multiverse, monsters, humans, soldiers, more supernatural people. Hell, we could fight a talking snake! Maybe."
Evie was stunned into silence, then she remembered everything they've been through, and asked "And what if we refuse?"
"We didn't," Prokaz groaned "He had pulled us into a pocket dimension and we couldn't use our powers. I've never seen someone use a pocket dimension before. It's scary."
"So, now what? We just have to take part in some... tournament where we have no idea who or what we're going to be fighting?"
"Pretty much," Candy replied to her sister "For now though, at least they haven't told us when the tournament is. Maybe it'll be a long way away." Little did they all know... the final battles, they're far closer than they thought.
